Bakers Avenue Cebu: Sweet and Delightful Discoveries

During the lunch break of our all-day internship program orientation, we discovered a bakery next to Jollibee near our university. After our lunch at Jollibee, we decided to explore the bakery. We were hesitant at first, unsure if we could enter the bakery. We thought that it is exclusive only for people with business with the establishment 😅. When we stepped inside, the place is actually spacious and has a chill ambiance.

We started scanning for their available breads and pastries. My best friend and I found out that they have affordable offerings. The excitement I felt that moment was just over the top, but I tried to remain a cool expression on my face.

There were monggo (mung bean) breads, hawaiian and cheese delights, bacon and cheese delights, ube (purple yam) buns, ube ensaymada , and monggo ensaymada .

On the other side , there was a counter displaying variety of offerings like patatas, pan de sal, artisan bread, chiffon cake, and more.

My best friend was still hungry even after our lunch at Jollibee so she chose a monggo bread and a bacon and cheese bread.

As for me, I took a lot of time searching for a bread that suited my liking. I had to walk back and forth in the area. I wanted to have cookies; however, it seemed like cookies were not served and displayed on the shelves yet.

When I reached the cashier area to pay, that was the moment I discovered that they offer cakes, Nutella bars, and drinks. I initially mistook the nutella bars for brownies. If they were brownies, I would have bought one or two since I'm not a big fan of Nutella. Also, we noticed that their cake slices are priced below 100 pesos, which is actually a great deal! There were a lot of different flavors of cakes that looked really appetizing.

While I was scanning further, I discovered they also serve other offerings like coffee , juices, teas, and meals as well. It was so interesting to know the range of products that they offer.

Discovering Bakers Avenue was truly a pleasant surprise for us. This underrated bakery located near our university not only offers a peaceful atmosphere but also affordable and delectable breads and pastries. I think we have passed by countless times, but we didn't notice it before. Perhaps it was because the establishment is new, and the property is gated, limiting our view inside the building.

I really enjoyed the ube bun I had purchased, as it was soft and fluffy. My best friend also expressed that the breads she bought were tasty. The place was clean and had a minimalistic vibe, which we both liked. It was good that they also offer a wide range of products. If only we had known about this bakery earlier, we could have tasted a variety of their offerings, and we wouldn't have had to go any farther to buy a snack from our university. Nevertheless, the bakery is definitely a great addition to our go-to spots in Cebu City, and we plan to visit again to explore more of their offerings.

The Bakers Avenue is located at Ground Floor, GMC Plaza Building, Legazpi Extension cor, M. J. Cuenco Ave, Cebu City- right beside Jollibee and fronting Toyota building.
