Chicken and shrimp tortillas [ENG-ESP]

[ENG]

Greetings dear friends of Foodies Bee Hive. It's been a while since I've been here, today I'm back to tell you that I was craving for pasta, but not with any animal protein, I wanted something from the sea, so I decided to prepare a pasta with shrimp in a sauce that was finger-licking good. It is the first time I make this recipe using cream, I was a little nervous, but everything turned out well, even better than I expected.

This recipe takes time because we must clean the shrimp, remove the shells, tails, heads and veins, the latter are nothing more than their digestive tract. It is a job that I don't like to do very much, but it is necessary, besides, in the skin and the heads of the shrimp is the secret of a stock that will give any recipe a very special touch. Before, I used to throw away the shells and heads of this seafood, then, I used them to make a broth or consommé, now, I had a better idea, after making the broth, instead of throwing them away, I decided to blend everything, I obtained a very concentrated stock from the shrimp that was delicious and I have used it for my sauce. Every day we learn something new and we are improving in the gastronomic arts. Without further ado, I present my recipe, I hope you like it..

Ingredients

- 250 grs of chicken fillet
- 250 grams of shrimp in shell
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 6 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 6 tablespoons wheat flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 pinch of ground pepper
- Extra virgin olive oil

Preparation

1.-. We wash the chicken fillets and cut them into small pieces, we also arrange the shrimps.

2.-. To clean the shrimp, cut off the head and tail, remove the shell, make a cut in the upper part and remove the vein and then do the same procedure in the lower part. With this, we clean the seafood, and finally, we wash them.

3.-. We proceed to grind the chicken pieces and shrimp.

4.- Wash the onion, remove the skin, peel the garlic cloves, grate them and add them to the chicken and shrimp that have been ground.

5.- Add the seasonings (turmeric, paprika, cumin, pepper and dried oregano) and salt to taste, mix well until the ingredients are well integrated. It is recommended to adjust the salt level. Then, we assemble the tortillas.

6.- Preheat the frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil.

7.- We organize the ingredients to bread the tortillas, the flour, the beaten egg and the bread crumbs. Bread the tortillas and fry them until golden brown on both sides. Once ready, remove them from the pan and place them on absorbent paper.

This is how the tortillas turned out, delicious, I served them with rice and salad.

I hope you liked it. See you next time.
