Hello, friends especially foodies!

Have you ever met a food stall that is always have customers in their place? Did that food stall make you curious? Maybe you curious about the food they sold? How they made it? And what made them so popular?

This curiousity brought me to a popular food stall name FIVE MONKEYS which sold burgers and hot dogs. The food stall was so popular so that when it had no customers one day (haha, finally), I then went there to try.

FIVE MONKEYS

Located in one of the corner of Senayan Plaza food court, I had never seen the branch of this burger and hotdog stall anywhere.

I don't know why it named five monkeys but there were five staffs inside their stall with the tropical shirts and hats that were ready to serve you. One was cashier while the other four prepared the meals.

MENU

For the menu, they hung it on two large screen on the top.

And also they put it on the cashier table... The menu they had for burger were double wagyu smash burger, cheeseburger, bbq bacon cheeseburger, hamburger, and chicken burger.

While, for the hotdog, they had the choices of classic hotdog, con carne hotdog and bbq bacon hotdog.

For the side dishes, they had chili cheese fries, nachos, curly fries, fries and sold out onion rings.

For the drinks they only had milkshake, coke and mineral water.

And by adding 28K IDR (almost 2 USD) to their main dishes, we could make our ala carte burger or hotdog a combo with french fries and coke or mineral water.

Before ordered, i had asked the cashier about the most popular burger they had and she recommended bbq bacon cheeseburger so that was the menu that i ordered. After ordered and paid, i got the receipt and the wireless calling system that would vibrate and beep after my food was ready.

Anyway the burger combo i ordered wasn't cheap at all, it was 86,501 IDR or around 5.56 USD but we'll see later why its' price so...

DINING AREA

While waiting for my burger to get ready, i saw around and took some pictures of the dining area of the food court where i would have my brunch. The area was large, clean and some had customers.

Because it was sunday, many brought their family members to the food court to dine in together. While me, I was alone so I decided to sit on the chair that had long table for you to share.

I also took a picture when the chef prepared my beef patty, the patty was freshly made and it was thick and big.

And ta da, here was the COMBO i ordered. It consisted of bbq bacon cheeseburger, french fries and mineral water cause i don't drink soda.

Now let me tell you about the burger and the fries...

BBQ BACON CHEESEBURGER

Oh my, this was one of the largest burger i ever had. It had many fillings such as the big thick beef patty which had savory tasty flavour, cheese slice, beef bacon which also had savory flavour, and crispy tasty onion rings. Unfortunately they served with honey barbecue sauce which brought weird sweet flavour to the burger, i prefer mustard or any other dressing like thousand island which unfortunately they didn't have. For the size of the burger, it was so large so that it would break your jaw. For the taste, the dressing sauce was the key and they failed to indulge my appetite.....

So would i ever come there again? Well who knows, maybe I would come for their hotdog and i regretted to follow the cashier's opinion in ordering the bbq bacon cheeseburger instead of the cheeseburger or even hamburger!

FRENCH FRIES

They had shoestring style of the fries which were so tasty in savory. I put it to the chili sauce and tomato ketchup to bring the sweet, sour and hot chili flavour to my fries. The fries were crunchy outside but soft and smooth inside. They were great.

Not so long, some customers come to the stall (I missed the opportunity to take the photo of it when it was full cause i had my brunch)...

So everybody's favorite burger is not that good but also not that bad, i think it was in the middle. The taste was just so so, not one of the best burger i ever had, but the size was overwhelmed me.
