Bread With a Hole in the Middle

Clearly, donuts are like something that is the center of the earth. Donuts are everywhere, there is not a single country that does not know donuts. I thought donuts were something that could be written in history books, for example, in the megalithic era we found artifacts in the form of stones, and now donuts are a sign of the 2000s.

Who doesn't like donuts, everyone must like them. The taste is so complex, there is a sweet and savory taste. However, everyone also knows that donuts have high calories because they are fried with fire for some time. That makes donuts very savory and soft, different from other breads.

However, who would have thought that donuts can be baked? LOL, it seems like all bread can basically be baked. However, I often feel guilty when eating fried bread. The combination of carbohydrates and fat that is very consistent makes it taste good, however, I did an interesting experiment to make donuts even though they were not fried.


The Recipe


Of course, the taste is very different. I like fried donuts, but it's not wrong to make donuts like this. Experiments will indeed be disappointing, but it is more disappointing if you don't try. Honestly, baked donuts are easier, all based on experience.

Making donuts does require patience, not infrequently people fail repeatedly in making donuts. However, this recipe is much easier and not disappointing, I have never failed in making actual donut recipes, but often disappointed when baking because my oven is in bad condition.

Ingredients:

  • 270 gr high protein flour
  • 100 gr potato flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 6 gr instant yeast
  • 250 ml water or milk
  • 1 egg
  • 50 gr butter
  • 5 gr salt
  • Compound chocolate
  • Meises

Above are the ingredients I use. Make sure the measurements in making donuts are correct, then you will get the right dough too. let it sit for 8-10 hours in the refrigerator and in the morning you can mix it into a shape identical to donuts.

It's quite difficult to make donuts without a mold, but I succeeded. It turns out that you have to be patient in making donuts without a mold, but as time goes by proofing, the hole in the middle looks smaller.

After resting for 8 hours, then you have to shape the donuts and can be left for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then just bake in the oven for 15 minutes, no need to brown because it will make the surface of the dough hard.

Finished with glazed donuts with chocolate and sprinkles. Everything can be eaten in a short time!

These donuts remind me a lot of my adolescence, in the city where I lived they were very common.

I'm surprised at how neat they turned out, because it's very difficult to make them round and pretty when made without a mold. I congratulate you for it.

You can combine chocolate with chopped peanuts in the glaze, the flavor is even more delicious.
