Well I'll start with spaminator that's part of hive watchers. Like I said we got into a little bit of trouble.
Next up currently I'm from Portland Oregon but I am Shoshone bannock from fort Hall Indian reservation.
Yes fire is very useful tool and when you have the burn barrel as well as metal buckets specifically set up for these purposes. This contains the fire and prevents spreading. Limit Sparks and fuel in the area for your little project. Also having some water on hand and working a circle around the perimeter of your working and drop it down and slice off any roots that are going back and forth to stop a spread of a root fire. Solely containing it within boundaries of your house area....
Rainbow family. The rainbow family of living light is an organization that I dedicated 14 years to helping and supporting only to watch it crumble and decay from within.
However quite a few of these individuals that I met there all did permaculture homesteading and off-grid living giving all of us the benefit their knowledge. Mike ohler would be one of the best examples and you can see his video work. Actually the architecture of his bedroom is completely phenomenal with 4 ft of rammed Earth insulation so that his company can party and be as loud as they want while in his bedroom it is perfectly and completely silent.
Walking into his house and not going up any stairs you can start at the bottom of this hill and end up on a balcony looking down a huge distance.
This man started with some knowledge ability the land and just sheer determination of putting a shovel in the ground and starting small. However the cumulative efforts of his life work has ended up in a architectural marvel.
So beware of the rainbow family as a whole. However there is a lot of rainbow family in the area which are a bunch of cultural appropriating hippies that were highly disrespectful as an organization to the Native American tribes of Idaho during their Idaho gathering. However I still have a lot of rainbow family members that are extremely high on my respect list. Just because the organization has been doing bad things doesn't mean that the people or the idea is bad. However if they could just stop culturally appropriating things.
Like sweat lodge I went to one sweat lodge that was done in a good way. That was my first rainbow ever since then it has turned into a mockery and just a sauna with a bunch of individuals pretending. However the rainbow family did throw a bunch of backing into the standing Rock situation. And got into a lot of trouble for it. Rainbow family means well but their behavior definitely isn't exemplary.
I see. I tend to be a lone wolf when it comes to associating with others, although it can be a disadvantage, I also find organizations get . . . tricky. So you are not too far from me then! Maybe a 20 hour drive. So far, I have been working on dislodging the tree by cutting the big roots with a sawsall, and then we tried yanking it out with our big truck, didn't budge. So I will keep dislodging roots, moving material, and then I may try the fire thing. Work in progress!
Interesting. I will take some time and look up diy mortar, although I will probably just buy it.
