ES/EN | JAMMING ZONE WEEK 38- JAM - 09 | Melodic Rock | In "E minor"
ESP

"Hi Hive Jamming Zone community, today I'll be improvising over a jam called Epic Melodic Rock. For those who have supported me, you know how tough it can be to find a track that you just flow with. I know the viewers face that reality too. However, while searching endlessly on YouTube yesterday, I found this beautiful track. I particularly struggle to flow over tracks with only one chord or very few, but I can when there's a clear chord progression. Of course, there are moments when the flow is immediate, but even though there were other great options, I couldn't get into them. Honestly, I spent almost the entire day searching for one until I finally found this one.
Which made me reflect that this is also a matter of emotion. Even though music is about feeling and creativity comes from emotion, doing this task is subjective for everyone. Maybe if one of you took the time to jam with me, one of the first 5 backing tracks we listened to would have clicked with one of us. It took me a long time to find one, because when I jam, I don't want to give the impression that I'm just doing it to get it over with, that's not the intention.
So if you're in the same situation, I just recommend trying different tracks at your own pace. I dedicated a large part of my day to finding one because I could particularly do it and I was willing to. Try to enjoy your Jam Week, one beat at a time, at your own pace, because it's also a learning time where you can find your own good original sound and your phrases that will make a difference in your music even if the track is from someone else and many people play over the same track. Taking your time with patience will make you stand out as a good musician among others.
Thank you very much Hive community!
