Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. It was a heated day for FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta and his advisors, and they were pushing to make the registration of Dani Olomo and Pau Victor happen as soon as possible, indeed, it was a tough day as I saw pictures and videos of Laporta leaving and going back to the Barcelona office twice. The last time Laporta left the office, he was on a phone call, and there was a huge smile on his face. I would like to believe that things have already been settled concerning Dani Olmo's registration.

When I woke up this morning I saw a tweet from a reliable source that Barcelona is officially back to the 1:1 rule. This is not a rumor or fake news; it is confirmed that Barcelona has returned to the 1:1 rule, which will allow the club to spend high in the transfer market and not rely on free transfers as they can enter a bidding war with any club. It still might be difficult to understand but let me use the Adra Guler transfer deal as an example to make it easy to understand the 1:1 rule.

Adra Guler was first scouted and approached by Barcelona when Fenerbahce was ready to let the Turkish youngsters leave the club. Adra Guler's release clause was 17.5 million euros and Barcelona was willing to pay, but all of a sudden Real Madrid swooped in and offered to pay 20 million euros with a 10 million adds-on, plus 30 percent sales on clause and also offered Adra Guler a much higher wage than what Barcelona was offering, but Barcelona did not make their bid higher and still stood on their initial offer because they could not spend more and also increase their wage bill because it was already over past wage gap issued by Laliga.

This happened earlier last season when Barcelona was not in the 1:1 rule which caused them not to enter a bidding war with Real Madrid. It is one of the main reasons why Barcelona has found It hard to break the bank for top signings because even if they did break the bank, registering the player would be another issue because they have to balance the book that what happened during the 2022/2023 season where Barcelona had to sell their TV rights to be able to balance the book and register the players they bought that summer.

It is good news to hear the club is back to the 1:1 rule, and although there are reports that say La Liga has given the go-ahead to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, it will still be up to the RFEF to make the final decision on the registration. There has not been any news yet, but I just hope the RFEF gives the green light so Dani Olmo and Pau Victor can be registered, and this saga is put behind us patiently. The deal is still long, and hopefully, there should be an update soon. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and see you all soon for more updates.
