Last Man Standing Results Gameweek 2. Selections for Gameweek 3 now open

Hello everybody and welcome to the Football On Hive 2024 Last Man or Woman Standing Competition 2024.

Entries are now closed to the competition so we are locked in.

Week 2 Results

There 3 contestants eliminated this week areThere was no bloodbath this week as people tended to play safe and go for the strong teams. It was interesting to note that not one individual went for Manchester United so clearly they are not a safe team. @cryptoandcoffee took a risk on Brighton and reaped the rewards as he knew they were going to do a number on United.

@amirtheawesome1 who chose Southampton. I would love if he took us through his thought process here as Southampton are favourites for the chop but I guess he was more thinking Forest were a worse team than the Saints I imagine. Anyway we say goodbye to Amir once again for not picking the strong teams early on. It is the risk that you need to take to win this contest.

@artist-freepae picked another relegation favourite in Leicester after they were beaten by Fulham. Strange selection this from a former winner.

Finally @bOs is out of the contest which is great because I never know if his Hive name is an O or a 0. He selected Newcastle which was a fairly solid selection so he is unlucky that they drew.

Everybody else made it through thankfully so we go to next week. Week 3 normally goes up a notch in selection difficulty. Remember you cannot pick the same team twice. Please note from the table what teams you have already selected. Remember if you were not involved in week 1 then you automatically sacrificed Manchester City for being late.

Any blanks below in their selection will be given Leicester this week unless I receive a team from them before the 12.30pm deadline on Saturday 31st August . Leicester play and Aston Villa at home.

Fixture List Week 3

Please see below the Gameweek 3 selections. Some tasty ones here. I did not know Man United have Liverpool so early. Also Spurs versus Newcastle will be a good one. Arsenal play Brighton who are on form so we may have a bloodbath this week if one result doesn't go our way. This week will be an interesting one.

So this is it ladies and gentlemen. I will post a reminder post on Friday for the stragglers but that is it for this week. Unlucky to the 3 contestants that were knocked out so early. Maybe next time.
