How Precious is Righteousness?
'Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death.'
(Proverbs 11:4)
While money answers all things
here on earth,
and is able to buy many comforts
as well as enjoyments,
riches profit not
in the day of wrath.
Only Jesus,
His blood and righteousness
deliver from death.
Jesus, thy blood and righteousness
my beauty are, my glorious dress;
'midst flaming worlds,
in these arrayed,
with joy shall I lift up my head.
Bold shall I stand in thy great day;
for who aught to my charge shall lay?
Fully absolved through these I am
from sin and fear, from guilt and shame.
When from the dust of death I rise
to claim my mansion in the skies,
e'en then this shall be all my plea,
Jesus hath lived, hath died, for me.
'In the way of righteousness is life;
and in the pathway thereof
there is no death.'
(Proverbs 12:28)
Righteousness is more valuable
as a currency than earthly riches,
as it paves the way into eternal life.
But this righteousness
is not attained
by our own works,
but only by faith in Jesus.
'But now the righteousness of God
without the law
is manifested,
being witnessed by the law
and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God
which is by faith of Jesus Christ
unto all and upon all
them that believe:
for there is no difference:'
(Romans 3:21-22)
BW Mag
Just loads of admiration for my fiance, who did the cover and layout redesign for Bible Witness (BW), a Christian magazine!
The latest issue of BW is on Church - A 'One-Another' People, where there are deep Bible-based articles regarding how to relate to one another in the church.
If you've been hungering for a spiritual feast, you can download a PDF copy of the entire magazine here!
It's distributed free of charge because this ministry adopts the motto: 'freely ye have received, freely give' (Matthew 10:8).
Praying that the BW Mag will be a blessing to you! <3
That’s a great reminder. Thanks for sharing.
O and thanks for the link to the magazine. I will try check it out when I have a bit more time. :)
YAY. You're most welcome, thank God! ((:
Amen!
