Greetings!
Prioritizing others above myself has been my nature all these while. I'm the kind of person that loves others like myself and for this reason, I have always been my brother's keeper.
However, recently I have taken it upon myself to take good care of myself and also prioritize all that concerns me as I have not really enjoyed the life of my head as I was supposed to do.
So, to start with, one of those things is enjoying what I laboured for, so whenever I make money, the first thing is to spend it for myself. Before now, I was always dividing my money as earned and then sending it to those that I have promised to help and this was how it's been.
However, that has changed about me as the first thing I now do as soon as I have my money with me is to get all I think I need for myself after which I can now send money to others as I have promised. This to me is a way of prioritizing myself, but this doesn't mean that I now set myself above others.
Another way I have been able to prioritize myself is to set my boundary right. One thing I have noticed in recent time is that, I didn't set my boundary right and this has led to people taking me for granted just because of my good heart and kindness to them and ever since I have got to know that, I have changed from not setting my boundaries right to now setting it right and this has really helped me and my relationship with others.
In conclusion, one thing is that we should also try and love ourselves. This is because without self love, we will only be hurting ourselves and personality.

Splitting your salary into two to help those you have promised will definitely strain you financially, if only others will be willing to reciprocate the same treatment. I'm glad you learnt how to put yourself first.
Hmmm! Most times we put others above ourselves and it somehow not too good for us.
I believe that you should help others but not at your own detriment.
