I have always wondered, are animals cognisant of the existence of we humans? how do they perceive us? Whenever we humans approach any animal, they would either run or prepare to attack, it makes me wonder, are we just a threat to their existence? is that all they perceive us as? I have seen humans form relation with the wildest of animals and somehow they are able to live in harmony without tearing each other apart, I guess there is indeed other sides of animals we humans are yet to fathom.
One of the most common animals considered as man's closest friend are dogs. There are lot of them around us and I have seen how we humans care for those creatures. I have seen owners of dogs mourn their dogs but the most unbelievable of it all is, I have also seen dogs mourn their owners. Which proves there is more to how we are being perceived by these animals, what if we are not just a threat but also considered as friends and families?
We currently live in a world ruled by the humans, we have driven a lot of animals into near extinction. Despite the current situation of things, we always think the only way to protect the extinction of our fellow neighbouring species is by locking them in cages. We are living in a world that consist of other species but somehow we humans live as if we know what is best for every specie. It is not like we have tried to ask for their opinion but just as lab rats to add more accolades to our scientific research discoveries.
What if we were to truly communicate with these creatures, what would they say? Don't you think they would have a say about how we are consistently polluting the ecosystem? how we are busy wagging meaningless wars against each other. I find something funny, you know whenever one country lunch a missile attack against another, we only keep records of the humans killed in this action, what about the birds, dogs, rats, all these species we are consistently trampling on, don't you think they deserve a say in the conduct of our warfares.
If there is one animal that is close enough to judge the conduct of we humans it is probably dogs. What if roles were reversed and dogs were considered as higher animals, what do you think they will do to we humans? do you think they will do any better than what we humans are currently doing? I'm definitely sure they will also lock us up in cages, we deserve that much from them. In a world where every specie have a say in how the world is being governed, I wonder how such a world will look like.
