Traveling to Simala to fulfill my mother's birthday wish!

Good day everyone! I'm here today to share with you our celebration of my mothers birthday! I'm going to break our celebration on parts so this is part 1. This actually happened on Oct 13 but i only have time to write this blog now because of my hectic schedule so let's get started!. My older sister decided that on our mothers birthday we're going to the simala because my mother always talked about how she wanted to go there and attend the mass there on her birthday.

So on sunday at exactly 3 am we're preparing for the foods that we're gonna bring to the simala just some breakfast food cause my sister said that we're gonna eat lunch at the sm cebu. 5 am were waiting for a bus to come cause were just gonna commute going to the simala, It didn't even take 1 hour for us to get to the parkmall because the bus was running so fast it seemed like there was a life left behind in their house. Or maybe because it was not traffic at all cause it's still early that's why we've arrived at the south bus early. So we arrived at the park mall and to get to the South bus we needed to ride 01k, 5 minutes after that we arrived at the south bus this is where we find a cab to go to the simala there were a lot of drivers offering to us that they're gonna take us to the simala but we're still waiting for my sister to come cause my sister lives in the cebu city that's why she didn't go together on the way to the South bus.

After some minutes my sister arrived with our cousin and then a black taxi offered us that he's gonna take us to the simala for only 2,500 pesos and there were 7 of us and he said we can stop anywhere as long as it is within the road to the simala or on the way back to the south bus. So my sister took the deal and was off going to the simala.

On the way there I slept the whole ride because i didn't get to sleep cause we were making empanada cause some friend of my mom ordered and it was the same day as mother's birthday that's why we make it early so that we can go to the simala and my mothers friend is okay with that. I woke up when we were in carcar and were so close to the simala. So when we are getting close to the simala we get to see that there's a lot of people like a lot since it's sunday that's why and a lot has changed since we last visited.

So we got out of the car and then we were in search to find some spot or cottage so that we could eat cause we were starving and the driver was looking for a parking spot and we also gave him some of our food so that he could also eat. When we found a cottage gurl the fee was too much, the fee was 400 pesos and we didn't get to stay there for an hour. No choice cause it was too hot and we were starving we just took the cottage and then we ate. And when we were done eating we sat still for a while and then my cousin had an silly idea that after we were done we were gonna look for a family that is looking for a cottage and give them our cottage and charge them 200 pesos we laughed of course and we didn't do it don't get mad at us it's a silly idea.

After that we decided that it was time to go inside and it was soaring hot, the good thing is that there's a rental umbrella for only 20 pesos. So we proceeded and i was stunned when we saw how long the line was for holding or praying to mama mary. The line had reached the gate it was that long really and it was soaring hot.

That's why we decided to let go of the hope that we could hold to mama mary cause of the line. We decided to attend the healing mass and we went to the second floor and the window was so stunning i was mesmerized by it.

We sat there and listened to the mass and after the mass we proceeded to the dagkotanan area but first we bought some candles and each candle had a different meaning. For me i bought a green candle for prosperity and success, for my mother the color that she chose is gold for healing. So we go to the area where we can light the candle and then we each pray , after that we decide to return to the car.

As we headed to the parking lot we stopped by the comfort room so that we could freshen up and do our business. After that we proceeded and my sister decided that it was time to go to sm and have lunch there so we hopped in the car and went on our way to sm.
