When all else fails, giving up isn't a choice. You have to look for possible ways to make it work.
Yes, giving up isn't an option, no matter how pressured you are to do the tasks, even if you meet the dead end, or the deadline is fast approaching. Cry if you want, but get back to work when you're done. Why am I saying this? It's because my final term grade depends on this final project. Huhu~ I might as well find a space without a crowd to shout all my frustrations and desperations.
We're having this final project last Final Term during my Second Year in College. Let me share this now 'cause I've rummaged my gallery and found the photos. The moment I checked what's inside the album, the memories of that project flashed before my eyes. It was a group project where we have to create a system which include a CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) functions. This might be simple to others, but for us beginners, it's not. To add more pressure to us, we only have been given 5 days to complete the software with a documentation.
That makes it look like a mini capstone project. 🥺🫠
And just this semester, we've just found out that we're supposedly going to defend it like a normal thesis from our Subject Teacher, imagine the pressure. Glady, it wasn't imposed since we were lacking so much time to do all that stuff. But, anyway, here's what the home page that I had created looked like.
It's a simple system and the data used was from the company where one of my co-members rendered an internship. At this simple project, my brain decided not function which causes me to get stuck on that one problem —to connect that Log in button to redirect to my database when the data given by the user is correct.
Then, the approaching deadline added pressure to my problems, which evokes me to prioritize my peace of mind over anything else. At that point, I stopped what I was doing and choose to delay the project more. So, my co-members offered help and suggested that we should do it at their house near the sea. Watching the seawater, listening to the sea waves and feeling the see breeze is one of my therapy, so I agreed.
Usually, we would enter one resort and stay there for a while but this time, we've waited here since Joshua have to meet up with his customer in Motor part selling. We could still get a nice view here, watch the sunset and witness the tides go higher as twilight breaks through at the distance.
It was getting late then. We started walking to the market to find some food before parting ways.
On the way, we're having deliberations if we should have Oysters or Grilled Chicken, but as we reached the intersection, we went for Merzci instead. We ordered servings of Java Rice with Sisig, then I added a serve of Halo-halo. I needed some refreshments from a humid afternoon.
Our debugging went into unwinding. We just all went home without accomplishing anything but enjoying some break from reality that we'll be facing again as we part ways thereafter. I guess that usually happens when you're with friends. We take refuge with them and escape our problems. At least, I have calmed down and cleared my mind for quite a while. I got ideas on how to solve my problem from doing things unrelated to it.
And that ends my blog. Thanks for reading!
Five days to complete the software along with its documentation is crazy... I would go insane if we were asked to do that hahaha. We also had to create a system last semester, and our professor gave us plenty of time to build it using Visual Studio, including the database and documentation. I’d like to build a system for the web, and I hope we get to have a similar experience to yours.
It’s great that you had a good place to work on your project. The calming waves of the sea must have really helped reduce the stress, hihi.
I love to go the sea with my family and friends, nice bond @ayane-chan 🤗

It's not wrong to take a break for a little while, to calm your mind and to relax yourself.
