Hola amigos de Hive, como ya es habitual, hoy les comparto un juego retro más, en este caso se trata de The Sting, un juego para PC del año 2001, que me ha parecido bastante interesante como para reseñarlo y compartir con ustedes un breve Gameplay.

Hello friends of Hive, as usual, today I share with you one more retro game, in this case it is The Sting, a PC game from 2001, which I found interesting enough to review it and share with you a brief Gameplay.

En este juego tomamos el rol de un gangster, según en tiendo hemos vuelto a una ciudad en la que hacíamos vida en el pasado, y nos encontramos con que la ciudad ha cambiado mucho, y tendremos que volver a forjar una reputación de gangster. Para ello tendremos que reclutar a otros malechores, que sean nuestros cómplices en las diferentes misiones, por lo que tendremos que recorrer las calles de la ciudad y hablar con las personas para descubrir quienes quieren unirse a nosotros.

In this game we take the role of a gangster, as in tiendo we have returned to a city in which we did life in the past, and we find that the city has changed a lot, and we will have to return to forge a reputation as a gangster. To do this we will have to recruit other evildoers, who will be our accomplices in the different missions, so we will have to walk the streets of the city and talk to people to find out who want to join us.

Y es la ciudad de mundo abierto, una de las cosas que más me ha gustado del juego, poder explorar las calles, las edificaciones, , entrar en las viviendas, encontrarnos con diferentes personas y entablar conversaciones interactivas con ellos , es algo que destaca en este juego. Además la ciudad tiene una atmósfera bastante sombría, de hecho me recuerda un poco a aquella película en blanco y negro llamada Sin City.

And it is the open world city, one of the things that I liked most about the game, being able to explore the streets, the buildings, enter the houses, meet different people and engage in interactive conversations with them, is something that stands out in this game. In addition, the city has a rather gloomy atmosphere, in fact it reminds me a bit of that black and white movie called Sin City.

En esta versión demo tendremos disponibles 2 misiones, la primera el robo a la estación de combustible, y la segunda el robo a un hotel. En este gameplay jugué la primera misión, la cual fue sumamente fácil, es más bien como una misión tutorial para aprender a jugar. Me dirigí a la estación de servicio, robe un rollo de papel higiénico, y luego un extintor, con una barra forcé una ventana de la oficina de la estación de servicio, abrí la caja registradora, robé las monedas, luego abrí un armario en donde estaba la mayor cantidad de dinero, y salí para subirme en el vehículo de escape.

In this demo version we will have 2 missions available, the first one is a fuel station robbery, and the second one is a hotel robbery. In this gameplay I played the first mission, which was extremely easy, it's more like a tutorial mission to learn how to play. I went to the gas station, stole a roll of toilet paper, and then a fire extinguisher, with a bar I forced a window of the gas station office, opened the cash register, stole the coins, then opened a closet where the most money was, and left to get into the escape vehicle.

Luego en el mundo abierto, me di la tarea de reclutar algunos malechores, entre ellos un hombre vestido de payaso, que aunque no pretende ser gracioso me hizo reír.

Then in the open world, I took on the task of recruiting some evildoers, among them a man dressed as a clown, which although not intended to be funny made me laugh.

Con respecto a las dinámicas de juego, los controles están bien logrados, nos desplazamos con el mouse , aunque a veces puede ser algo tedioso, rápidamente nos acostumbramos, con el mouse observamos, accionamos e interactuamos también. Gráficamente me gusta, son gráficos bastante decentes para ser del año 2001. Todo se ve desde arriba con cierto angulo, y las paredes y techos se hacen transparentes para permitirnos ver dentro de las edificaciones, también tenemos un modo de vista en primera persona pero no nos podremos desplazar es solo mirar.

With respect to the dynamics of the game, the controls are well done, we move with the mouse, although sometimes it can be a little tedious, we quickly get used to it, with the mouse we observe, act and interact as well. Graphically I like it, the graphics are quite decent for the year 2001. Everything is seen from above with a certain angle, and the walls and ceilings are made transparent to allow us to see inside the buildings, we also have a first person view mode but we can not move, we can only look.

En cuanto a sonido, nos destaca mucho la verdad, pero creo que es por que se trata de una versión demo que no tiene música, pues vi un gameplay en el que si la tenía, y los efectos de sonido pues son bastante básicos, pero no tiene mucho que criticar. Realmente me parece que está bien así tal cual.

As for sound, it doesn't really stand out, but I think it's because it's a demo version that doesn't have music, since I saw a gameplay in which it did, and the sound effects are pretty basic, but it doesn't have much to criticize. I really think it's fine as it is.

The Sting, es un juego curioso y bastante desconocido, según veo pues no he encontrado mucho en internet sobre él, creo que podría gustar a los amantes de los juegos retros.

The Sting, is a curious and quite unknown game, as I see I have not found much on the internet about it, I think it could appeal to lovers of retro games.
