🔶The willow tit (Poecile montanus)

Previously, this small and nimble bird had the Latin name "Parus montanus". "Parus" is the Latin designation for tit family birds, and "montanus" is wild. It turns out that this is a wild tit. And this name suits her perfectly. This tit, unlike the usual great tit, does not occur in cities, except in winter; sometimes they visit feeders in city parks.

By the way, I noticed that they molt by winter. In these photos, she has a brown belly. And in winter it will be gray. It is strange that it is not written about it anywhere!

The Russian name for this bird is something like "fluffy" .This is due to their style of fluffing feathers in cold weather.
