Little Ringed Plover in Spring

The Little Ringed Plovers are one of my favorite birds here in Austria and I am already looking forward to next spring when they return from their wintering destination Afrika. I hope I get a nice offer for the 180-600mm lens that I still need to buy for my bird phtoography trips in spring and I also hope there will be a lot of nice birds that get pretty close to me.

I really enjoy watching these birds when they are looking for small insects in the mudd or inbetween small gravel pieces. It is such a relaxing thing to do. Wathing them, taking some pictures and relaxing on the mat in the sun. 😂

The Little ringed plover has a very good camouflage color when hiding in between the gravel and the sand of the sandpit. Together with the green plants it is possible to get some really nice bokeh. Also the brown colors of the ground covering plants makes a great contrast to the bird.
