My biggest weakness could be Legos. I probably have a few other weakness's as well but Legos is the first thing that springs to mind. Ever since I got my first set I have just wanted more.
I think my first Legos would have just been a box full of random blocks, not that we were super poor but I have been getting around a while and it was just more common than the themed sets and considered more like a creative and learning toy.
As soon as my my son was born I was getting more Lego for him and this mates. It got to the point where I even had a wholesales supplier and I used to buy 4 of one set, sell 3 on ebay and keep the 4th one for ourselves with the profit.
I was pretty disappointed when the the big toy chains started discounting heavily. Ebay and paypal increased there fees and the wholesaler closed my account because I did not buy enough. For a while it was a nice little side hustle.
It was a bit sad when we sold a lot of them so he could buy his first car but it felt like a natural progression, Though I did keep a few.

Nowadays there are still a few Lego sets unbuilt in the back bedroom for a rainy day. I still can not walk past any toy section of a shop with checking them out.
I had a nice nostalgic smile when my son now all grown up started buying some Harry Potter Legos for his daughter.
How cool is that. I remember the blocks and never got any of the kits. I prefer building things with mecanno.
I used to have a big old metal box of Meccano too. They must be worth a small fortune now. I recon mine was just given to a neighbour.

The moments of concentration and creativity that are experienced by putting together figures with these games are very valuable. I have a preference for puzzles with many pieces. I haven't seen any more of them, but when one appears, I won't hesitate to buy it.
