Long story short - it's that time of the year again for the so-called ‘celebration of love’, as they say it in Germany. This means the usual family holiday drama tradition is about to repeat itself. Luckily there is New Year around the corner too. Same procedure as every year...
In essence, the idea behind Jesus's birthday celebration is probably a good one. Though this 'holy' child wasn't even born in December, some 'experts' say. Not that i actually would give a crap. The catholic church traumatized me much to much already in school.
At the time it was also a xMas tradition in school to make us go from door to door in the neighbourhood and ask for donations in the name of the church, for the poor African children. Never really got an answer to my question, why can't the governments help out so the poor children do not have to starve to death.
Which then, for example, was a subject i was forced to discuss at home with the parents. Lucky me they generally started to insult each other about the 'why would i even ask such a question to the priest in school', before i had my go on the why. Every year i 'found' some new thing in that kinda style, in tradition of the yearly holy-days - i never went out of stuff 'you do not do, make or ask'. Until the parents finally divorced when i was twelve.

There i thought: may the family holiday traditions finally gonna change, since it was the 24th at mothers place and the 25th at fathers place... but not at all. Sometimes it even got worse. Also i started to realise that this is happening all over the place... i guessed the prevailing war against humanity, disguised as prosperity and commercialism is too much intertwined with this 'evil' business.
Not that you misunderstand my point, i would love to see folks being seriously kind to each other the whole year, rather then just for a certain amount of time. I have a special day to appreciate my loved ones and that's every single fluffing day.
Now for real: The only family holiday tradition i can remember are insults, violence and 'war'. Just years later, in my times running British pubs, i realised that i'm not the only one. Especially on the 24th i organised afternoon parties where the 'whole' town met after their last runs for 'needed' errands.
And there i saw, sometimes much to deep, into the 'real' spirit of xMas. Getting blasted with as much alcohol as possible... until the moment came they 'have to go' to the family dinner. Some even asked if we could stay open for the night, so they can come back as quick as possible... which was actually a good idea i started doing on xMas eve.
Today my personal holiday 'tradition' is to stay as far away from all this as possible. IMHO, these family holidays are just another of the many hypocritical traditions in the civilised society, always in the name of an out-of-any-norm-business. I remember that only with weddings i made more money, if i would compare this with these times...

Why do i even talk about this?! Ha, you will get it when you read about the Silverbloggers Chronicles Prompt #24... The SB-Chronicles are the Ultimate Collection of Stories about the real life out there. May go and check this awesomeness out under the #sb-chronicles tag.

Tipping is a way to show that you appreciate the work ! Thank you !
The “true” way of a community is to support each other, since it doesn't make sense to wait for the mercy of a millionaire to send us $$$ - we support each other with the best we can.
It works even after a contribution has gone through the seven days of voting, and thus the opportunity for gracious "giving" is over. Another plus - that way no one can ‘steal’ your given support, not even the often ego-selfish pointless Down-Voters. I thank you for all the support you give, anywhere !

Hello, unfortunately, it has always been this way, only being kind in December, although there are exceptions. It is a month that man made commercial, and there is nothing to stop it. My mother once told me that Jesus was not born in December and that it depended on a calendar, but I don't remember well. Best regards.
Yep - No rules without exceptions... that's a fact. For what i remember about that guys birthday, some say it's around July actually. But hey, history is full of fake stories... 🤷♀

Better ignore yourself ewu, selfish thing 🙄
Just the fact that you felt to leave an insulting comment shows that you still have a lot of work to do to handle your ego-selfish-ego...
Sad to see that, whichever of all the sects has already distanced you so far from your true spiritual nature.
Light & Healthiness to you 'lost soul'
