I Received A Surprise Gift While Shopping And Also Met An Old Hive Friend!

The holiday season is truly a time for joy, surprises, and reconnecting with friends. I experienced all of these and more today, and I just can't wait to share my exciting news with you!

A Generous Surprise

While shopping at God's Own Supermarket yesterday, I ran into one of my neighbors who surprised me with an incredible act of kindness. After we exchanged pleasantries, he made his purchases and then announced that he had paid an extra ₦5,000, for me to use. I was taken aback, overwhelmed with gratitude, and couldn't believe my ears!.

I was so excited and in that instant, I remembered this I wrote in the blog I published yesterday;

I may not have received any gifts this yuletide, but nature has got me covered.

Oh, nature got me covered, indeed!

I had already completed my shopping transaction - paying with HBD, and equally claiming my 25% discount before the kind gesture from my neighbor.

So to enjoy my next claim from #distriator which is 30%, I decided to pick this "Best Amarula Flavored Cream". I had added it to my cart when I was picking stuffs but it's price of ₦6,000 was way above my budget so I kept it back. But with the ₦5,000 from my neighbor, that was settled.

The money was transferred to my bank account and I paid for the drink with HBD and claimed my 35% discount immediately. Ah, SpendHBD is the real deal and I'm so excited about it. I'm thinking of introducing it to that kind neighbor. I just hope he'll buy into it because he's skeptic about anything crypto. Well, let's see how it goes.

Now my shopping is complete with the creamy drink, lol.

A Chance Reunion

To add to the excitement, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with this old Hive friend @ijelady. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her walk into the supermarket with @fokusnow, thanks for bailing me today 😅.

Wow, another surprise! We hugged and exchanged pleasantries. We were both thrilled to see each other again, after almost a year. We had spoken on the phone just last week, but I hadn't expected to see her in person so soon. I'm sure it's same with her too.

It was nice to hear that her visit to Aba was to learn about SpendHbd so she can promote it in Uyo, Ákwá Ibom State. I recall it was one of the things we spoke about over the phone last week and I urged her to get onboard because it was an incredible project with lots of awesome use cases.

So her traveling from Uyo down to Aba to not only learn how it works but also experiencing it first hand by shopping, paying with HBD and claiming her discount, shows that she's in for real business. I trust her ability to promote SpendHbd massively in Uyo. Soon Uyo Hivians will be able to enjoy shopping with HBD too.

We took some pictures before they left to go lend support to @marajah, who was holding a SpendHBD workshop at Dikkies Supermarket, and I went back to the office.

I had hoped to be there but couldn't make it due to prior commitments, which I also explained to her the previous day I called, to know how she was getting on with the planning. I'm so positive that it will be a huge success. More people need to be aware of SpendHBD, and this is one way of reaching out to them and getting them onboard.
