First of all I want to wish you many blessings from my part to this beautiful community of great and careful entrepreneurs as it is my beautiful people of hivers, trying as always that our topics are of great interest, both recreational and educational, being the main objective.

To enter fully with the subject I have to tell you that for many years ago has always caught my attention and I have been curious to know this place as emblematic as it is the "Masonic Temple", better known as "The Lodge". better known as "The Victoria Lodge No. 9". Located in La Victoria, Aragua state, my beautiful "City of Youth," as it was baptized many years ago. As a curious fact it can be said that this temple is not well known by the locals of this region, although it is located in the historic center of our beautiful parish.

Trying to get some information I decided to go to this beautiful place, having the luck to be attended by a very kind gentleman, where he immediately sent me in and very politely began to expose me slowly due to his advanced age, the history of this emblematic place as I walked through all its very well preserved facilities and with many relics that take us back to that historic era.

First of all, what caught my attention was its impressive colonial facade with the initials "ALGDGADU" over its main entrance, which means "To the Glory of the Great Architect of the Universe", also the symbolism "FSU", very characteristic iconography in its surroundings according to the members of the lodge that were being incorporated at that time in the temple, following the tour in its internal part the majestic Temple is observed with a very well executed decoration.

According to the history narrated by the directive of this place, it is not known if General Santiago Mariño, founder of the East, was interested in settling in this city of La Victoria, Aragua State. Acquired in a public auction this temple in the year 1823. Apparently General Cipriano Castro was not a Mason, but he always had great admiration for the Victorian Masons of that time. He lived there until his death, leaving an indelible mark of this independence hero. As a curious fact, it is said that Simón Bolívar was a Mason, but there are doubts, denied by some and affirmed by others.

The illustrious Venezuelans Antonio Guzmán Blanco, Joaquín Crespo, Francisco Linares Alcántara and others also made an appearance in this beautiful temple. According to the most useful men of this city, they belonged to this lodge "Victoria number 9". They say that this temple served as a refuge and they even say that it was a bunker to defend themselves from many conspiracies against them.

It is certainly very gratifying to know that this place served to congregate many illustrious and heroes of our independence history.

Templo Masónico del General Santiago Mariño

Antes que todo quiero desearle muchas bendiciones de mi parte a esta hermosa comunidad de grandes y esmerados emprendedores como lo es mi bella gente de hivers.Tratando como siempre que nuestros temas sean de gran interés, tanto recreativo como educativo, siendo el principal objetivo.

Para entrar de lleno con el tema tengo que decirle que desde hace muchos años atrás siempre me ha llamado la atención y he tenido la curiosidad de conocer éste lugar tan emblemático como lo es el "Templo Masónico" , mejor conocido como "La logia Victoria nro 9." Ubicada en La Victoria, estado Aragua, mi hermosa "Ciudad de La Juventud," como así fue bautizada desde hace muchos años atrás. Como dato curioso se puede decir que éste templo no es muy conocido por los lugareños de esta región, a pesar que está ubicado en pleno casco histórico de nuestra hermosa parroquia.

Tratando de obtener algo de información decidí llegarme hasta éste hermoso lugar, teniendo la suerte que me atendiera un señor muy amable , donde de inmediato me mandó a pasar y muy cortésmente me empezó a exponer lentamente debido a su avanzada edad, la historia de éste emblemático lugar a medida que me paseaba por toda sus instalaciones muy bien conservadas y con muchas reliquias que nos remontan a esa históricos época.

En primer lugar lo que más me llamó la atención fué su impresionante fachada colonial con las siglas "ALGDGADU" sobre su entrada principal, que significa" A La Gloria Del Gran Arquitecto Del Universo ", también las simbología "FSU", iconografía muy característicos en su entorno según me comentaron los miembros de la logia que se iban incorporando en ese momento en el templo, siguiendo el recorrido en su parte interna se observa el majestuoso Templo con una decoración muy bien ejecutada.

Según la historia narradas por la directiva de este lugar, manifiesta de que a ciencia cierta no se sabe si siendo el General Santiago Mariño fundador de Oriente haya sentido interés por establecerse en ésta ciudad de La Victoria, estado Aragua. Adquiriendo en una subasta pública este templo en el año 1823. Al parecer el general Cipriano Castro no era masón pero siempre le guardó mucha admiración a los masones Victoriano de esa época. Donde vivió hasta su muerte, dejando una huella imborrable de éste prócer de la independencia. Como dato curioso se dice que Simón Bolívar fué masón, quedando entre dudas, negadas por unos y afirmadas por otros.

También llegaron a hacer acto de presencia en este hermoso templo los ilustres venezolanos Antonio Guzmán Blanco, Joaquín Crespo, Francisco Linares Alcántara y otros. Según los hombres más útiles de ésta ciudad pertenecían a esta logía "Victoria número 9 " .Comentan que este templo sirvió de refugio hasta llegar a decir que fue un búnker para defenderse de muchas conspiración en su contra.

Ciertamente es muy gratificante el hecho de
saber que este lugar sirvió para congregar a muchos ilustres y próceres de nuestra historia independencia.
