I want to begin by wishing you many blessings. In this opportunity I want to express or continue commenting on my somewhat irregular situation regarding the health of my lovely mother that I had already shared with you in my previous post.On that occasion I expressed my concern for the state of my mother's health due to a fall in the early hours of the morning when she was going to the bathroom causing a terrible slip that resulted in a great fracture of her femur of her left leg. This is when she began to desperately look for a way to remedy this very serious health problem of nothing more and nothing less than the being who brought us into the world and gave us the upbringing that we are so grateful for as children.
In my previous post I finished my story not very sure that they were going to operate my mother because of her heart failure due to her advanced age, being high risk as expressed by the anesthesiologist. After waiting anxiously for her turn in the hospital near my city and following the guidelines for the preoperative with the help of God the supplies were obtained to start the operation, already confined in the operating room after a few long minutes of anguish it was decided not to practice the operation because of how delicate it would be without taking into consideration that they did not have ICU equipment, "Intensive Care Unit".
We decided to bring her back to her home to look for another alternative as soon as possible. In that opportunity and with the help of some neighbors who work in a hospital in the same state but quite far from her residence, thanks to the help provided by the free ambulance services in our municipality she was transferred to this other hospital care center, being again denied the help because there is a long waiting list of people who are waiting to also be treated surgically. Again being at home and with much disappointment but with much faith at the same time we continued looking for another alternative for her improvement, we were presented with another opportunity but in another hospital no longer in the same state, without thinking much and with the passing of the months we admitted her in this other hospital in the state of Mirandino. Where almost immediately she was taken to the operating room to be operated, presenting again the same situation of risk of not waking up after her operation.
In a medical meeting it was concluded to stabilize her cardiologically, evaluate her and take her back to the operating room. In these moments of waiting and with my greatest concern for the details of the day to day, between her care in the care center, both in her personal hygiene, food and medicines, taking into consideration that only two of my sisters and I are facing all these details, that with much desire I go on weekends to give her a little support and thus lighten a little our responsibility that we have as children and
between the desire to fulfill as much as one can we are presented without realizing a great degree of entres both my sisters and myself.
Well, in order not to be so long I will continue with this writing and tell you that what I least imagined is that all this concern plus those that in one way or another affect us personally in these moments that we are going through in our beloved Venezuela.
After a hard work when I got home I started to feel a little pain in my chest, so I decided to go immediately to the hospital where I was diagnosed with blood pressure problems and bradycardia (heart rate below 60/minutes). They only sent me to do sports activities, especially climbing stairs to increase my heart rate.
The next day, still feeling some pain, I decided to jog about 4 kilometers, and then continue with my daily work, but as the days went by I continued with the pain in the pit of my stomach, on the left side of my chest and in my back, so I decided to go to the cardiologist where I was evaluated with an electrocardiogram and an echocardiogram, diagnosing that I had a heart attack, because I had not given importance to the pain I felt, presuming that it was part of the exhaustion from my work.
I never imagined I had a heart attack. Imagine that I had just had a heart attack, I jogged several kilometers and did my chores because I still did not know the health problem I was going through until this day when he examined me. In a second appointment with the cardiologist I was required to have some tests such as Holter, Map, and an Echocardiogram that within my budget seemed somewhat or a little unattainable. Thanks to the valuable and disinterested collaboration of our hiver @hexagono6 who, due to her eagerness to help me, communicated her concern to many people. In this sense and without imagining it, I received a great and valuable help from our excellent and dear friend @GUILTYPARTIES, thanks to his contribution I managed to get a Holter, a Map and an electrocardiogram, being very expensive for me and thanks to our kind friend I was able to do it.
After a few anxious days I received the results of these tests where according to the diagnosis I was prescribed medications such as Enalapril, Aspirin, Clopidogrel and Atorvastatin. Only now to rule out if I deserve to have a catheterization would be doing a stress test and thus rule out or not such a catheterization which by the way is very expensive in private clinics and hospitals is possible as long as I sign up on a long waiting list of about a year or more.
Continuing with my mother's problems and to culminate, when five months have passed since her fall that resulted in the displaced fracture of her femur, I tell you that it was not possible to perform such a desired operation, according to the decision of the medical board that works in this last hospital in Mirandino. Only God knows why we could not achieve our goal. With the good fortune that my mother is a person of great faith and that keeps her in good spirits in spite of the difficulties she faces.
🙌
May it be multiplied in health and blessings.I take my leave thanking everyone who in one way or another took the time to see what I have expressed from my heart (well if a bit pummeled). For life I thank @GUILTYPARTIES for his humanitarian help.
