People tend to show kindness in different ways they feel is suitable and convenient. Some of these include volunteering by contributing to a good cause, offering assistance to NGOs, people, shelter provision, orphanages etc with monetary contributions or manual labour etc.

Sometimes showing of kindness does not have to be because you have all the money in the world, it could just be by offering assistance to people around you or families who needs your support. For instance, there are a lot of help that can be rendered without incorporating money, some of which includes carrying of heavy stuffs for elderly people, just listening and paying attention to people's problems and offering Solutions, cleaning and clearing a compound or a church premises, fetching of water etc.

From the topic above, like I said volunteering is one of the common means of being compassionate to people around you or beyond. For instance, we volunteer for different reasons such as providing food and shelters to those who need, it is a very common act as people take the burden upon themselves to cater for the less privilege and those who are homeless. By cooking varieties of meals like jollof rice, fried rice and chicken just to make them feel loved and alleviate poverty at the same time. It is so bad that poverty is as a high rate in the world and engaging in these act of kindness can go alone way to make a person's day.

One of my compassionate experience that I have engaged in is volunteering for an orphanage in Lagos State. Although, I will say it is not an easy task but when your mind is set to offer assistant to the less privilege and you get the necessary support to carry this out then it will happen. By volunteering for the orphanage, I took part in preparing meals for the kids, taking them to school and washing their clothes. There were babies amongst them and we had to take turns in caring for their needs.

In conclusion, during the course of volunteering, we as people with good intentions offered our time, skills, and resources to serve others. This was carried out void of any financial compensation or assistance. It just goes to show that we empathize with these people. All that was done goes to show that we embodied a selfless desire to positively impact the lives of others.
