Choosing Oneself at Once

You cannot give what you do not have. It's hurting when you wanted to send help but you cannot give because of insufficiency.

I remembered this kind of experience because of blogging purposes. It was a funny moment I also want to reminisce this time.

This was 3rd time in a row for three consecutive months that I was able to travel together with my co worker. I usually travel only during SFC activities. In this particular article, I chose to be selfish this. When I looked back before I can say that I was depressing and lonely moment for a no particular reason but in 2024 perspective it was just a memory that needs to be laughed out loud. It could be the aftermath of the pandemic unknowingly.

I have the tendency of not saying "No" even if it could break my heart. Maybe I really forgot what was the real happening. There was also a possibility that I was tired physically, mentally, and emotionally. It could be my egocentric self prevails.

I was still in my gala seasons, I am saying YES right away when CJ invited us to go paragliding and whale watching for her birthday! Unfortunately, we did not experience both. We prioritize paragliding since it was a seldom experience to be cherished upon.

The Paragliding Experience

Paragliding at that time was located at Oslob. It was really a wind dependent activity. We did overnight and did camp there. We waited for the wind the whole morning but we were unlucky because the strong wind arrived at almost three o'clock that's why our whale watching itinerary was cancelled. This paragliding activity also was very weight dependent also. The lighter you are, the higher you fly above and reach the sky. In my weight that time for about 65 kilograms it was a little bit "sayang" it was too fast.

I was glad that I was able to experience that activity because after paragliding, I become wiser in terms of spending my money towards my family. If I can spend 3k alone for my paragliding activity, then I can spend higher also with the whole family. It was my basis in spending. It was my comparison.

Today, I've learned my lesson that saying NO is POWER! You can say No if you really don't have enough. You can say NO if you cannot do it wholeheartedly. You ca say No if you cannot attend and cannot make it due to health concerns.
