OCD Sports Curation Incubation Update

Tonight I checked on the community numbers and this week we have flown past the 1500 mark and sitting on 1520 which is bloody excellent. Growth for any tribe is a must for them to survive and we have literally doubled our following since late October last year. With a good bull run expected in crypto real soon hopefully we can swell the ranks even more. I do believe Hive is in an ideal situation these days to retain new users due to the addition of the tribes. This was not the case 4 years ago and believe this time around is the game changer for retention.

Last week I highlighted the fact that certain users were disqualifying themselves from obtaining extra curation from lack of activity in the community. Posting a great article is not the issue but lack of engagement is and you are only doing half a job. Why would anyone support you and what makes you so special that you never comment? This is a two way street and a social blockchain so earning rewards is not an entitlement. Many are obviously not reading this post each week so I am now leaving comments which will either wake them up or they will leave as they are now being looked over for better players in the community.

Sometimes it is the only way to be open and honest to try and get the message through to these individuals. Clicking on the user and seeing what they have been up to has to happen as the @ocd curation is backed by community delegation so like minded individuals need to be supported. We have had a few rejections over the months so far and it is normally down to lack of comments or having a black mark next to your name for something you have previously done. If you are being downvoted by a group then try and clear your name or let me know what it was for as I can try and fight your case when submitting your posts. I try and play fair so being open with everyone on how this works clear up confusion if you are not being supported.

This week I had a busy week away from Hive so I am hoping to get someone to assist me on here. They have agreed already and will pass their details onto @acidyo and @ocd over the weekend. My thought process was to get someone who spoke Spanish as many posts in sports are from native Spanish speakers. Just maybe they can help grow the tribe even more by helping them understand the rules a bit better.

Please everyone we need more top quality posts as already this week we have had to skip days of curation either from lack of quality or posts that just don't meet the criteria. Yes writing a decent length of post helps, but it also needs to be decent and not waffled garbage. If you don't have anything to post then rather skip a day and don't post for the sake of posting. It happens and that is normal so we do try and maintain standards which is more important.

This week to give you the figures 21 posts were submitted and 3 per day average is not great. We as a community of over 1500 should be pushing between 7 and 8 posts for curation daily. This is a gift having @ocd in your community supporting you and don't waste it.

I just want to thank @ocd for the support they offer @sportstalksocial and if anyone wants to delegate they can to @ocdb. If you delegate you do receive a daily payment in return.

Thanks for this awesome push on this curation project. You';re doing well.

Thanks I am just hoping we can just keep building week after week. The numbers are looking good, but really we need more posting articles that are decent and can justify more rewards.

That's nice.
Posting and voting is different from engaging yourself in the community with your meaningful comments.
Thanks for the wake-up call

As always very accurate in your weekly posts.
How can I delegate to ocd?
I don't know how to do it, is there any tutorial

Thanks. Easiest is just to delegate some hive power to @ocdb. You will automatically receive a payout daily for that. I use my peakd wallet as it is quick and simple. Where it says delegate open it and just send to @ocdb. https://peakd.com/hive-174578/@ocd/ocd-communities-incubation-program-update-27

Well, I will delegate something to ocd, although it may not be much.
