Has your team actually improved?

After today's 3-0 fixture, Arsenal has officially improved in every single metric from last season. As we canter down the line in this very emotional season I figured I'd look back at last season's journey and compare it to this year.

Our three goals today gets us to 88 goals scored in the season which matches our tally for last season but with two games left to play, it is safe to say that we will be surpassing last season's tally.

In terms of points, we are also on course to at least match last season's tally but it would mean an epic collapse at this stage to think that we won't beat last season's points tally of 84 points when we currently have 83 points.

The best case scenario is that we will reach 89 points, which was the same as Manchester City last season. If we actually achieve it, then there's not much h else we can do, with regards to the title race.

Other than Arsenal, I looked at some of our traditional rivals and the so called big six to see how their season is going compared to last season.

Tottenham

Starting from the closest proximity hater, we have good ol Spurs. They started the season in a flurry and @blanchy started saying silly things like Bissouma is better than Rice and whatnot.

They have since been put in their place and are now trying to break into the top 4 but Europa League is actually where they belong.

Anyway, on the plus side, Spurs can take solace in the fact that at the bare minimum, they will match last season's tally of 60 points, which is what they're currently on. They still have 3 games to go and I'm hoping they'll finish the season strong. If they get maximum points in all of their remaining games, they would effectively hand the title to arsenal and secure UCL qualification.

Chelsea

Chelsea are a mid table team but they're still regarded as on of the big 6. I'm guessing it is because of their transfer budget.

Last season, Chelsea finished in 12th with 44 points. Right now, they're already on 51 points and are safe from the relegation scrap.

There's been distinct improvement in the quality of football they played from last season to this season. All of it boils down to the addition of Cole Palmer.

Manchester United

Last season, Manchester United finished 3rd and qualified for the UCL. In that tournament, they proceeded to embarrass England by finishing at the bottom of their group.

Last season, a late push at the end of the season saw United break into the UCL spot but there will be nothing if such this season.

In fact, Manchester United has declined quite dramatically and if you listen to @deniskj, you'd think it is because of injuries. However, dropping from 75 points in the previous season to a season when they can achieve a maximum of 63 points if they win all their games is embarrassing.

There will be no champions league football and even their defensive solidity from last season, seems to have gone with the wind.

Manchester City

Manchester City are basically the king of the EPL and the only way to win the league is finishing above them.

Currently at 82 points, their best case scenario will be 91 points. That's two points better than their tally from last season.

I'd be hoping there are some dropped points along the way. That seems to be Arsenal's only hope

Liverpool

Outperforming last season's collapse should not be a problem for the reds. After finishing 5th in what was a disaster of a season, the Merseysiders got themselves back in contention for the title.

Last season's tally of 67 points has already been bettered by this seasons 75 points and with three more games to go, they could cross the 80-point mark.

Now obviously, I'd want them to lose but with Spurs away from home on the horizon,ni cannot help but route for the team that will stop our rivals. I just hope Spurs won't be Spursy.

Oh blanchy, he seems quiet these days. What effrontery to say that about Rice.

It's been a impressive season for Arsenal. It could have been a walkover if not for the early season Arteta's too much love for Harvetz.

Infact let's talk about him a little
