How To Take Care Of Dry Skin

in #health7 years ago (edited)

DEAR STEMIANS!!

Dry skin has low levels of sebum (natural fats) and can be susceptible to sensitivity.

This skin has a dry appearance caused by its inability to retain moisture.

Dry skin usually feels "tight" and uncomfortable after washing unless some kind of moisturizer or skin cream is applied. Cracking and cracking are signs of very dry dehydration skin.

1.Maintain natural oils

Your body naturally produces oil that keeps the skin protected and prevents dryness.

However, you do a lot of things throughout the day that remove the natural oil. The greatest threat to the natural protective skin is your bathing routine.

Soap can remove a lot of oil from the skin and water that is too hot also makes your skin at risk. Lower the bath water temperature as low as you can withstand and use only moisturizing soap or marked for "sensitive skin".

You should also make sure not to shower too often or too long. Both can also wash too much natural oil. Take no more than 10-15 minutes and no more than once a day. If you can, take a shower only two days.

2.Peel gently

You may see suggestions for dry skin peeling. This will remove dead skin, prevent infection, and allow moisturizer products to be well absorbed.

This is good advice but you should follow it carefully. First of all, you do not want to peel too often. Once or twice a week can be too much, especially for sensitive areas such as the face.

You should also not use a hard exfoliating device, such as a bath sponge or a pumice stone. Conversely, baking soda paste or a clean washcloth will work well without causing damage.

It is also important to make sure you use a clean washcloth. One of the reasons why objects such as bath sponges cause problems is because these items easily accommodate germs and bacteria. Using a clean washcloth can help prevent the problem from occurring.

3.Dry the skin carefully

When you dry the skin, be careful. Rubbing strongly with a towel can not only irritate the skin, but it can also remove too much moisture and oil.

This can cause drought or make the problem worse. Instead, dry with air when you can or else lightly flour your skin with it until it dries with a soft cloth or towel.

4.Apply moisturizer

After you have showered or made the skin moist, you should always use a moisturizing coating to help lock moisture and restore natural oil that may have been washed.

This base layer does not need to be thick, of course. Only a basic layer of protection alone can make a difference.

Lanolin cream is one of the best products to protect skin and keep moisture. It is a natural product produced by animals to protect their own skin. The most common US brand is Bag Balm and can be found in most pharmacies.

For your face, however, lanolin can be a bit too much and should be used only occasionally and in very severe cases. Otherwise, you should use a lighter product that is oil free and designed not to clog pores or cause other skin problems.

5.Apply a thick layer at night

If you can, try applying a thick layer of moisturizer products at night, then cover the area with clothing to protect the product. This will give your skin more products to absorb and more time to absorb it.

However, it should be realized that most of these skin moisturizing products can cause stains on clothes, so be sure to cover the skin with clothes you do not care about, like a pair of sweaters or old pajamas.

6.Wipe it regularly

If you want to have real, lasting results, it's important to set up a routine. You have to moisturize and take care of your skin regularly and for a long time before you can see real results.

Be consistent, diligent, and most importantly: be patient. You will see the results but you must make sure to moisturize every day for a very long time.

7.Protects skin from cold

The cold air will precipitate the humidity from the air. The air then absorbs whatever moisture it can get from your skin, which then causes it to dry.

This is why you may be most affected by this problem in winter. Protect your skin from cold temperatures by covering yourself with warm clothes and by covering the skin with a cream to lock in the moisture you have.

For example, wear gloves to protect hands and socks to protect the feet. Scarves and cowls can be worn on the face to protect your skin there.

8.Protects skin from the sun

The sun also causes problems with dry skin, by irritating the skin and causing damage. You are also at risk of skin cancer by getting too much sun exposure.

Be sure to wear as much protective clothing as you can when you go out on a sunny day and for unclothed skin, use sunscreen.

SPF 1000 sunscreen is not required. Ordinary sunscreen, 15 or 30, should be enough. Even so, you need to make sure to get a broad-spectrum sunscreen (UVA / UVB).

TIPS

1.Use Cerave, Cetaphil, Vaseline, and other products recommended by your dermatologist regularly.

2.You can use avocado face mask (avocado) and cucumber on the eyes. It will soften the skin and make you feel fresh and
clean. You can easily find the recipe on the internet, as there may be several variations depending on your own skin type.

3.Use glycerine for best results.

4.Once a week, take a bath with milk. This will nourish and smooth the skin. Warm water bath and add 250 grams of milk
powder, half a tablespoon of almond oil and a few drops of favorite perfume. Then, simply lie in it and let your mind wander
while the healthy foam does wonders on your dry skin.
