Эти вещества обладают противовоспалительными свойствами, тормозят рост раковых клеток, полезны для глаз и сосудов. Среди плодов других кустарников являются лидером по содержанию магния.
Жимолость способствует выведению радиоактивных веществ и укрепляет сосуды, поэтому в народной медицине используется при недугах сердечно-сосудистой системы, давлении, а также проблемах с печенью, желудком, желчным пузырем.
