Owning a pet is a way of showing unconditional love I am a pet owner and I have one dog and three cats it makes me feel happy every time I saw them around playing with me. Having a pet has a good effect to your health let me tell you some of them.

Lowers Blood Pressure

Having a pet can lower the risks of having a stroke or heart attack based on studies mostly those who’s having a dog can significantly lower the odds of a person from dying within a year of suffering from a heart attack. However, there is no need to fret if you are a cat lover — studies have shown that having a feline pal can lower your risk of stroke by 40%, and your chances of having heart attack by 30%.

Lowers Cholesterol

Expert says those who own pets have lower cholesterol level well actually there’s no definite explanation about it but whatever the reason is just consider getting a furry companion to keep your cholesterol levels from skyrocketing.

Dog Owners more likely to be Physically Fit

Dogs are considered as the man’s best friend because their feelings and mood are more likely near human. This is why mostly dog owners spend time with their dog walking around at park and playing Frisbee well actually this a good form of exercise between the dog and the owner and maybe this is also a good reason why dog owners are more likely to be physically fit.

Better mobility amongst elderly pet owner

If you are a pet owner you can have fun and chat with other pet owners in your village and share some tips of taking care of pets and this is also a good way of friendship.

Lowers Stress Levels

Researchers from the University at Buffalo found out that participants performing demanding tasks experienced less stress when they were with their pets rather than their family or friends. Even when the study is disregarded, it cannot be denied that something as simple as watching a gold fish swim around or stroking a purring feline can help take one’s mind away from anything that can cause stress.

Playing with Pets increases Serotonin and Dopamine that creates better moods

There’s no denying that pets make some of the cutest deeds, and that’s why they can fill your life with laughter, something that is considered as the best medicine.

Lower Risk of Depression

Having a pet is also a natural way of getting rid of depression. The emotional benefits of having a pet are hard to overlook. In fact, dogs are being used to help soldiers deal with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Lower Anxiety Levels

Having a pet around is like popping a painkiller in the mouth, especially if you are suffering from chronic pain such as osteoarthritis, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and neuropathy (nerve damage). Experts say that it’s due to the fact that spending time with a furry pal helps eases anxiety, which in turn helps decrease pain. A study from Loyola University even found out that people who were recovering from surgeries and underwent pet therapy needed less pain medication than those who did not.
