I guess by now you must have heard about Gifu, a deflationary meme-tility token built on Binance smart chain. Just as we've seen utility tokens fly during the ICO phase, now with meme coins taking the spotlight, I guess it's high time we have meme-tility token as well, and as you can tell, gif has been in existence since way back and is an avenue where people share moving pictures to express themselves and their ideas better, and $GIFU is here to not only revolutionize how we see gifs but take it to a whole new level, with the potential to earn from it in the near future.

Introduction

Bro, not forgetting LGN and Cine which are also part of his impact on the hive.$GIFU is a deflationary meme-tility token built on Binance smart chain founded by our very own @raymondspeaks, a respected hiver with a blueprint of success across the hive blockchain; he's the founder of Man Cave and the brain behind one of the top performing hive engine tokens,

Unlike BRO, LGN and CINE which are built on Hive Engine, $GIFU, on the other hand, is built on Binance smart contracts (BSC). The core reasoning behind this was to implement a "tax" on transactions. When trading on BSC, 3% of every transaction is taxed, with 1% being permanently burned and 2% allocated to further development of the project.

Tokenomics

The $GIFU token was originally sold to supporters of BRO via a presale, since then the token has been actively trading on BSC. At the time of writing, there is $7100 worth of liquidity for the token, with a market cap of $32,500 and 4.38% of the supply permanently burned.

100% of the token was initially floated on BSC, 20% of the supply will be bridged onto Hive by the team to be sold via Hive Engine. The initial selling price will start at 0.00017 HIVE, which is approximately 3% below the current price on BSC. The price will then increase incrementally per listing by 0.000005 HIVE, with 0.5% of supply per listing. The community can buy these tokens via BSC or Hive-Engine at any time, and bridge it to and from Hive Engine.

Funds that are raised from selling GIFU on Hive Engine will mainly be used as liquidity to create an LP on Tribal DEX. An allocation of 8% has been set aside for TribalDEX liquidity. Once enough HIVE has been raised to fund it, a TribalDEX LP will be created. LP will be added at the current price of $GIFU on BSC. Any additional HIVE raised via Hive Engine sales will be used to beef up the BSC LP.

Every transaction on BSC is taxed at 3%, with 2% being used for further development of the project and 1% permanently burned. Furthermore, customers can sponsor GIFs for their own projects where 20% of the revenue will be used to buy back and burn $GIFU. This creates a deflationary pressure on the token thus reducing supply over time.

How to Bridge $GIFU

To deposit, click "Deposit" on Hive Engine, then search "BEP20".

Click on "Binance Smart Chain Tokens (BEP20)", which will bring you to the following page, simply search "GIFU" under tokens to deposit $GIFU. You may be prompted to connect your web3 wallet (Metamask/Rabby/other), just simply press connect and select the account you have your GIFU on. You may need to manually enter your wallet address as well. Then simply enter the amount you want to deposit, you will NOT be charged a fee for deposits.

To withdraw onto BSC, you will first need to ensure your account has enough swap.bnb to pay for gas fees, you will need to first swap.bnb on TribalDEX then deposit it into the fee balance, this may take a few minutes to reflect. Once it does, you will be able to withdraw swap.gifu into $GIFU on BSC. This process may also take a few minutes and you will be charged a 0.75% fee by Hive Engine for withdrawals.

Future of Gifu

We've got great plans on ground, and going forward, you'll be seeing more of us here on Hive, also via Snap, and our X (formerly Twitter) account.

So in a nutshell, below are some of the things we're open to:

  • To support Giphy artists and their work.
  • Collaboration with content creators, meme and gif lovers, and influencers.
  • Make and commission a gif for your project, both here on Hive and to the general public, while paying for service rendered with the Gifu token.
  • And many more to mention, but few.

Our Gifs

We've got loads of gifs created by our very own @stickupboys, and we're open to making more; they're a master in the craft, and most of our gifs already have hundreds of thousands of views in a short time. Now imagine how many views that would have in one year and more.

Below, I take you through some of our available gifs.
