[REVIEW GAME] FINAL FANTASY AWAKENING

Final Fantasy has been a franchise of video games which has a long history. Final Fantasy is a game that arguably has a fanbase that is pretty much all over the world. The presence of the latest series of Final Fantasy is always eagerly anticipated by gamers, whether it's for consoles or for mobile devices though.

It is undeniable again if the current mobile gaming to be one market that is tempting for the publisher at this time. Don't cost that much as well as easy access to the game anywhere and anytime, making mobile games the time is quite loved.

Well, talking about mobile games. Final Fantasy Awakening present as the game action RPG that offers the impression of a "Final Fantasy" verily for mobile devices. Before I write a review. Let's watch the trailer first.

In fact, the game-making process of Final Fantasy Awakening itself is watched seriously by the talented Square Enix team, so the result is definitely not going to disappoint the long-awaited gamers.

STORY

In a way, Final Fantasy Awakening is a continuing mobile game from the Final Fantasy Type-0 series. After a peace that lasted 100 years, the war came again on the Orience continent. Only four "lights of hope" are able to restore peace on the Orience continent, namely Rubrum, Milites, Concordia, and also Lorican. Often walking the game, you will be presented with an interesting storyline while strengthening your character.

You will still play Class-zero, which has a mission to protect the Rubrum Empire and stop the massive invasion of the Militesi Empire. Some crucial choices to determine the storyline, also presented in this game for a more exciting experience.

GRAPHIC

The graphics are truly outstanding as it features a full 3D Cinematic Graphics that is comparable with console graphics. The game environment looks detailed, while the character movement is smooth (especially during battles). I personally enjoyed watching the skill animations. Final Fantasy Awakening also features Japanese voice-overs for each of its characters, which many Final Fantasy fans would probably like it more compared to localized voice-overs.

FEATURES

The various features presented in Final Fantasy Awakening will also support the fun of playing MMO on mobile devices along with friends, such as Voice Chat, Real Time Battle Team PVE, Real-time PK Arena, and Guild Battle. Every month, there will be interesting events to get a certain hero and easy to get every diamon finish dungeon or even event.

GAMEPLAY

Not only use one main character, but you will be helped with some heroes divided into several levels of rarity. The level of rarity in the game is divided into four, ranging from uncommon, rare, epic, to legendary. Although it is very difficult to get the legendary hero, all heroes can be enhanced by doing rank up or star up.

Like heroes, the equipment used in each hero also has a rariy level from uncommon to legendary. Equipment here will affect the gear rating that will affect also on compat power into a benchmark strength.

The main character here can be helped by a feature called astral. While other heroes can be increased further by doing limit breaks using hero shards that can be searched on dungeons or completing certain quests.

GAMEPLAY MECHANISM

You could say Final Fantasy is now starting to adopt the RPG action genre since Final Fantasy XV was released with a variety of compliments that make a breakthrough with the genre. Well, in the game Final Fantasy Awakening you will also be presented with a RPG Action thick with intense battles that require agility players in the fight.

Boss on every dungeon usually has a thick enough blood, therefore you must be smart in removing every skill possessed hero. Especially if you are going to do battle with other players.

• Advantages
  We all know most of the RPG relies on turn-based system, but Final Fantasy Awakening is different as it offers real-time hack-and-slash combat. It has highly restored the original storyline of Final Fantasy Type-0 too, along with the Japanese voice-overs, doesn’t it brings back the old memories of PSP era? Other than that, the game features a lot of modes that will keep you busy. You can also use auto-path so you don’t need waste time running around to find your next destination.

• Disadvantages
  The user interface is a bit packed for a new player. Also, the Arena mode forces you to auto-battle using AI, it would be better if it allows real-time arena battle that you could have full control of your characters.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, Final Fantasy Awakening is a must try for Final Fantasy Type-0 fans as it gives you the nostalgia feels along with a brand new experience under the worldview of Final Fantasy Type-0. Final Fantasy Awakening is currently free-to-play for Android and iOS.

Not only that, the quality of gameplay that was offered was no less exciting with the console version is arguably the best for mobile version so far. Offering fantastic graphics, feature rich, and can be played anywhere and anytime is the main factor why final fantasy fans and other games should try to play Final Fantasy Awakening.
