You already got the feels. If you played it you know what I am about to say already. You already know Lionhead studios is no more and you already know about the Fable 3 fiasco and that crap spinoff thing they made called Fable Legends. If not stay tuned you are in for an epic story.
Fable
The story of Fable was maybe the best single player story. EVER. Why? Because it was deep. You made choices, tough ones, you wrote the story and decided your path. In games like The Elder Scrolls, harming innocents results in the guards of that town looking for you. No real long term issue. Pay the fine, do your time. The whole town forgets. In Fable you would literally grow horns and have flies buzz around you if you did to many bad deeds. Or like wise you might even earn a halo if you save the day whenever called upon.
Fable 2
Another story, slightly dark at times but overall less time went in to this story I think. Still immersive single player experience. You still have a mini-map. Your choices still effect your "character" pun intended. Most everyone agrees while there maybe be more content to explore than Fable 1 and the gameplay is more or less the same. You now have a dog that goes everywhere with you and prevents you from feeling "alone in a big quest" at any time which I thought detracted from it. A digital dog will never be fun in the way a real one is. Hard to translate their intent. The Dog also put finding chests/ buried loot on easy mode. Fable 2 was awesome because it introduced co-op play. You both have to stay close to each other while on the same TV though , can't go off screen. which presents a huge problem unless you are doing co-op online. Fable 1 seemed more fun just telling your friends how good or evil your character was which should never have happened.
I played this game. The parts of it that were not broken or too tedious anyway. I can't remember if I even finished the story. Huge step backward here.
This is what happens when you take a single player/ co-op campaign franchise and make it "always online"

I played Fable 3 to the end in many ways; evil, good, conservative good, liberal good, conservative evil. This game was so blatantly liberal and opposed to anarchy, it pushed me away from my republican beliefs and toward anarcho-capitalist perspectives. I feel the prime example of its ignoring reality was the option to outlaw, tax, or permit alcoholic drinking. The outcomes were so childlike and not based in reality at all:
But this is just one of many misrepresentations of reality that this game portrayed.
