Want to try out magic the gathering?

Magic the gathering is my all time favourite game, trying to share the joy. This video is made by Saffronolive over at mtggoldfish, i recommend both his video and that site if you like or want to get into magic the gathering, they have tons of entertaining gameplay videos, also a lot of deck. This video has lots of tips on how to get started and getting free cards throughout playing the game, though I personally would not have too high hopes on the tournament grinding plan.
I do Play some tournaments every now and then, but I play in the modern format which is a little more expensive. If you plan to grind playing standard be aware of it being a rotating format and the legal cards does rotate out and lose value. Other than that the video is solid.
My format of choise is commander, in that format you can go pretty far with the freebots and the 5 dollars who comes with the account and the 2 free dollars at cardhoarder they also have a decent beginners guide.
Cardhoarder also sells cards like they say in the video, and the prices are much more reasonable than paper cards.

So unlike the video my tip is to use the free tickets on mtgo to build a commander, you can get some help at mtggoldfish in commander clash which is one of my all time favourite webseries.
You also have a list of budget commanders here.

By far the best tool if you are interested in trying out commander is [edhrec](www.edhrec.com]. There you can look at the different legendary creatures that can be used as commanders sorted by for example popularity.
When you go into the commanders page you get a list of most used cards and different decks, so you get a sense of how you should start building the deck, then it's just to cut the most expensive cards and make the deck your own.

Also if you're new to magic and want to try out commander, leave me a comment and I might be able to give you some free cards and pointers.
I hope this post will bring more players to the community, and hopefully my streaming will start up soon.
It will be heavily focused on having fun on mtgo on a budget.
