RE: Global Game Jam Experience - Part II - Tabletop Redemption

in #game-jam7 years ago

I'd been writing this up, on-and-off these past 7 days. ^_^

Of course, the down-side is that I've not been posting these past days either. :cP

This isn't because I've given up on Steemit - but it is because I've decided that obsessing about posting regularly in the service of 'maximizing payouts' (In truth, I could easily get a lot more payout by spurting a short piece of writing on this or that every day and reap @qurator's rewards if I were so inclined - but I do not - it is not my way).

I think that I have been swayed by the opinions given by persons like @intelliguy that what the platform really lends itself to is the delivery of quality content, rather than quantity content.

This is not to say that those who deliver quantity do not also deliver quality (I used to manage daily posts at one point), but the words kind of hit home.

Which is odd... my best (and often longest) posts tend to be the most undervalued. I am obviously doing something wrong - and I think that it comes down to my personal branding. It is too weak.

Sometimes things need to be said.

Thank you for giving my long post a look - I know that its very late for you over there and hope that you are sleeping soundly as I type this. :c)

hi there Path, I just had a 12 hour shift at the hospital and I helped deliver my first baby! Yay! I am so sorry that I cannot give your comment more attention, or your post. I feel that is definitely 7 days worth of posting in one. I'm not sure how you do it is all i am saying. to me it is the same thing, except more like a diary for you. LOL
Dear Path's Diary ... I miss you bud ... but when you post ... i have to read it in 7 sections because it's really a 7 day post. LOL
I am still reading as I have typed this, and then your long comment. I think I'm pretty wiped out now for sure. xx Eagle

Yes - your experience must have been amazing! :c)

Do not worry about my post or my comment. You have given both a lot more attention than 99.9+% of Steemit's users - and I thank you for that and for being you. :cP

Writing is relatively easy for me. Its the images that prove to add to the complexity and work-load. :cP That plus I need to get me a better budget camera some day. :c)

You 'could' say that this served as a diary of my prototyping process and experience on the days. ^_^
