Details
The Python package fpl is a wrapper for the Fantasy Premier League API. For those who don't know what the Fantasy Premier League is, it's basically a game where you score points depending on the performance of your players in real life. It's very addictive, popular (5 million users overall and it's also pretty popular on here too) and time consuming, but I love it!
Recently I have been getting a lot of emails about fpl from users and developers, so I have started working on it again and want to keep improving it (just released version 0.5.0). Once I reach a certain release I would like to start actively looking for contributors who can help me improve it. Because of this I would like a logo that will give the entire project a more professional look, so it (should be) will be more easy to attract contributors (and just because it looks cool).
Premier League
Python
Since it is a Python package and is about the Fantasy Premier League, I think it would be cool if the logo incorporated both or either of their respective animals somehow (the lion from the Premier League and/or the snakes from the Python logo, so you could replace the lion with a snake for example and make something similar to the Premier League's logo), but it's not a must. I would mostly prefer if the logo is clean and modern, but that it's also easy to see that is has something to do with the Fantasy Premier League. If you want to bounce any ideas off me you can always contact me on Discord or leave a comment below.
Components
The logo will be used in the README of fpl and also in its documentation. As for the file format, I would like it to be in SVG, PDF and PNG (high quality of course). Dimensions don't really matter - I have a preference for the width and height to be equal, but it's not a must.
Deadline
A week from when it is reviewed.

Thank you for your review, @andrejcibik!
So far this week you've reviewed 7 contributions. Keep up the good work!
Here is my first concept - python wrapped around lion's head. I tried to model the lion after the Premier League lion, but you should have something that's distinguishable from the original, so I faced it forward. I'm willing to play with colors if you decide to move forward with this.

Thank you.Hi @mrgodby ,
Wow, that's really cool and definitely my favourite one so far!
Am curious about what you have in mind regarding this.
Do you have a particular color palette in mind? I'm just following the bright colors that the Premier League uses for their branding. Do you like the bright saturated colors or would you rather have something that's a bit more subdued?
Wow, I wouldn't spend that much time if I've seen this earlier :) I can see you keep the real life proportions, even tho python is still popping enough and grabbing the eye. I also like the subtle details on the snake. That's really a great application. I love it.
I'm not sure if you are aware this is a request through Utopian. Utopian is a community trying to empower open source by incentivising this kind of contributions. You can read more about it in here and take a look at other requests in here. I'd like to see your further works.
Thanks so much! This is actually my first time contributing anything to Utopian. Giving it a spin to see how it works out. I'll probably contribute more if there's a good balance between time spent and rewards.
This is awesome. The lion looks so intimidating :D. I love the way yo make the snake's body still recognizeable even tho it has the same color with the lion's hair (?) I don't know what that hair thing called. And it's remind me of Medusa.
(pls open in new tab for a bigger view) :)Hi @amosbastian, good day! here's what i have in mind and able to come up with..inspired by the premier logo, i created a front view of a king lion's head enclosed by a phyton around it. I also tried it with an orange color just to show that colors can easily be changed according to your liking. thanks!

Thank you.Hi @tobaloidee ,
will do! thanks @andrejcibik :) Have a great day!
Hello, here is my proposal.
That's really cool, but it reminds me more of a cobra instead of a python, haha. Not sure how you would have to tweak it to look more like a python, though...
@amosbastian Taking into account his suggestions I did my best effort. I hope you like it, although it seems you already have a winner haha.

Thank you.Hi @ggabogarcia ,
Hello @amosbastian ... Here is my design
Looks pretty cool (in my opinion would be better without the circle/ball), but I think you require approval when using Python's logo like that. Would be cool to see something that doesn't use Python's logo directly!
Ok... great... I will try and come up with another concept...
Here is another concept... @amosbastian
Another Concept... This time with the lion... I decided to think out something more effective since the project is a python package... i made it to feel a little related to the main python..
Here my proporsal brother

I got these so far.
And a few sketches that looks like an angry duck ?!
oh I forgot the one I tried to vectorized.
I really like the idea behind the one you tried to vectorise. Maybe you could make something that is more like a combination of that one and the right one from the three sketches if you have time?
Of course I got all the time, I was going to study a friendlier version anyways. It's better to have a direction to work on.
So it was hard to apply the body as one color and still has the details. So I had a lot trouble with it…
So tried to combine the beard(?) with the python head. And here’s the shaved ones. There are two types, one with perfect border, other one with some distorted border.
I think you're focusing too much on filling the body with a solid color. You will probably benefit from using a single line stroke for the body, just as you have done for the head. Be mindful of your curves as well. It looks like you're losing symmetry in some places.
The thickness of your strokes is right on the bottom samples, but I would lose the beard. It looks more like a bearded snake than it does a lion and snake combined. Consider using a lion's head, but replacing the tongue with a snake tongue. Or perhaps replacing a lion's tongue with a snake entirely. Just my opinion, but I don't think creating an animal hybrid works for this.
Keep it up. I appreciate the fact that you're sketching your own ideas and executing them rather than regurgitating some other designs that you find online.
Wow, thanks for the feedback, appreciated a lot. I really had trouble with the body almost took 2 hours to adjust it, obviously there was a problem it shouldn't take that long. It was easy with pen and paper with shadings but was hard to apply with single color, tried to keep it consistent with the relevant FPL logo. About the symmetry I tried to follow a tail like shape that's why it's out of symmetry. It made it more illustrative rather than a logo but I don't know call it matter of choice? :)
Beard was the quick solution to get rid of the body (which I failed to draw). As the previous drawing an open mouth made it look aggressive, I don't know If I were able to draw a hybrid animal really. But I should definitely try it.
Too aggressive, I feel that it will bite me :).
Haha, I just need more practice. I'll definitely try to draw some friendly looking snakes. It's not an excuse for sure but I was busy with another project, when I see this request I just draw the first thing came into my mind.
hy @amosbastian. here is nice logo.
but, that is not good. is not allowed to use the Premier League's logo like that one. and then, I think other minimalist logos. and here he is. :)
Pretty cool, but like I said in another comment (and on Discord), I'm pretty sure you require approval for stuff that uses/modifies the Python logo. Would be great to see something that doesn't directly use the Python logo!
Yeah. We can come with another concept later. 😁
I will try to do a proposal for you @amosbastian.
Cool, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Hey @amosbastian, here is another one contructional logo idea.
I honestly couldn't decide between your logos @mrgodby and @ggabogarcia, so I ended up asking my girlfriend. After pondering for about 5 minutes she decided on @ggabogarcia's one. They are both amazing in their own right and it could've gone either way really.
Thanks so much to everyone for participating in this task request, you obviously all have some great talent!
Thanks for the consideration! Congratulations @ggabogarcia!
Thanks a lot @mrgodby, I am sure that your proposal will be selected by the moderator's team
Wow, thank you so much @amosbastian, it's great news.
