Hi fellow steemians Am happy to tell you guys 👬 that am die-hard chelsea fan and am wishing my club ♣️ a very perfect win tonight.
So in view of this, I've gone through some research ♋️ to bring to your cognizance the match preview, possible lineups, odds, formations etc for the both 🙌 teams; the red🔴 devils and the blues 🎷 ✅.
Let's go straight 📏 to the point ↖️ without 💓 beating about the bush.

Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge tonight as the Premier League giants prepare to face-off in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The Blues will be out for revenge after suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the hands of United on the opening weekend of the season but the two clubs fortunes have gone in opposite directions since the game at Old Trafford.

Chelsea come into tonight’s match off the back of an impressive seven-game winning run in all competitions with Saturday’s 4-2 win at Burnley cementing their position in the top four of the table.

However, Man Utd’s season hasn’t gone to plan since they thrashed Chelsea back in August as Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s side endured a tough run of form that saw them slip down the table and at one stage they were just two points above the relegation zone.

United have bounced back over the past week as they got a solid point against Liverpool before beating Norwich 3-1 at the weekend so Solskjaer will be keen to build some momentum with another positive result in west London.
Team news

Chelsea will once against be without Antonio Rudiger as the centre-back is still working his way back to full fitness from a groin injury while Andreas Christensen is also on the sidelines with a muscle issue.

N’Golo Kante won’t be risked as he continues to recover from a groin complaint while the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cesar Azpilicueta, Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham are expected to be rested tonight.

Reece James should come-in at right-back while Willy Caballero, Marc Guehi, Emerson, Billy Gilmour, Pedro, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Michy Batshuayi are all pushing for recalls.

Man Utd will once again be without the services of Paul Pogba as he’s still out with an ankle injury while Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic, Diogo Dalot and Eric Bailly are also still on the sidelines.

Youngsters James Garner and Brandon Williams are tipped to start while the likes of Sergio Romero, Phil Jones, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard are expected to
come back into the side with some key players rested.

POSSIBLE LINEUPS AND FORMATIONS

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is likely to make some changes to his team for their Carabao Cup fourth round tie with Manchester United.

Willy Caballero should return in goal, while in the back four only Kurt Zouma is likely to keep his place from the win at Burnley. That means Emerson Palmieri, Marc Guehi and Reece James could get a chance to shine.

In midfield, injuries to the likes of N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley means Lampard cannot rotate too much. As a result Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic may start, with teenager Billy Gilmour completing an exciting midfield trio.

Going forward, Lampard has a decision to make with regards to who leads the line. Both Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi are pushing to start and it will be a tight call as to who gets the nod.

How will Manchester United line up? Predicted starting XIs, team and injury news.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a number of selection dilemmas for Manchester United's trip to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup round-of-16 on Wednesday night.

Following a terrible start to the season, United are on something of a roll: the Red Devils drew 1-1 with Liverpool at home on 20 October before securing two rare away wins in four days at Partizan Belgrade and Norwich City (both 1-0).

With those results in mind, Solskjaer may be torn between trying to keep the momentum going or handing much-needed minutes to some of his younger squad players at Stamford Bridge.

Paul Pogba is out until December, and Solskjaer is confident Fred can continue to deputise as the Brazilian shows signs of growing into his midfield role after a tepid start to life at Old Trafford.

The United boss also talked under Andeas Pereira's recent performances, though that could mean he is rested with first-team duties in mind.

Anthony Martial is also likely to be rested after starting and scoring against Norwich, with the Frenchman not yet back to full fitness following a frustrating spell on the sidelines due to injury.

Brandon Williams turned in a man-of-the-match display in Belgrade, and with Luke Shaw set to miss out again, Solskjaer hinted that fans will see both the left-back and fellow academy graduate James Garner, who the manager described as "excellent" off the bench at Norwich.

Mason Greenwood has struggled with a back injury since his rise to prominence with first-team goals in the Carabao Cup and Europa League back in September, and his starting role for the academy side on Tuesday night suggests the 18-year-old will have a bench role at best on Wednesday.

Man Utd possible (3-4-2-1): Romero; Jones, Maguire, Rojo; Wan-Bissaka, Fred, McTominay, Williams; Lingard, Mata; Rashford
