Hello soccer/football loving fans. As promised I'm going to be doing a general review of the games over the weekend in the major league across the globe.

First I will make a review of the Liverpool match which was the first match played on Saturday last week.
Coming into the game Liverpool sat comfortable in the top half of the league table with 15 points while Watford were in the bottom half with 7points. As predicted (Watford 0 - 3 Liverpool) in my previous post about the matches over the weekend Liverpool did not disappoint but went ahead to add 2 more goals to my prediction. The match ended in 0 - 5 in favour of Liverpool with Roberto Firmino scoring a hat trick and Saido Mane and Salah accounting for the remaining goals.

Next on my list of exciting matches over the weekend was the match between Leicester city and Man Utd. I predicted a score draw but to my disappointment Man Utd had other ideas as Leicester city totally dominated the match and went ahead to win the match in a spectacular way. The major culprits in this match were the manager (Ole) and Harry Maguire who was reported to be injured but the manager for reasons best known to him featured irrespective and he committed errors leading to goals. Spectacular goals were scored in this match by Tielemans and Mason Greenwood. The match ended Leicester city 4 - 2 Man Utd. I hope Man Utd back bounce back from this loss fast as they have dicey matches ahead lined up including their match in the champions league.

For this next match my prediction was on point Man city 2 - 0 Burnley. Manchester city had to do all they can to defeat their stubborn opponents who are known to be good in the air, strong and a tough tackling team. Eventually it took moments of brilliance and team work from Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne to make the citizens to scale through without conceding.

The match involving Chelsea saw them battle hard to finally get one better over Brentford the surprise promoted team. Brentford have taken the league by storm and have done pretty well for themselves in comparison to the other promoted team. But they tried and made the match difficult for Chelsea but for the goal by Ben Chilwell.

Let's take a look at one game that stood out for me in the Bundesliga because it was a high scoring game, the match between Bayern Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich. The match was won already when Bayern Munich went all crazy on a scoring spree in the first half. They scored all 5 goals in the first half and it was in the second half that Bayern Leverkusen scored a lone consolation goal. Robert Lewandowski and Sergey Gnabry scored a brace respectively and Thomas Muller completed the scoreline.

In the La Liga, Barcelona was the surprise package for me. They won their match comfortably against Valencia. Though Valencia took the early in the game, 5 minutes to be exact but it took Ansu Fati eight minutes more to level the scoreline and eventually Barcelona ran out winner of the match 3 - 1 with additional goals from Memphis Depay and Philippe Coutinho.

Coming to the Italian Seria A, the game between Napoli and Torino was quite exciting as Napoli tried all they could to break down the defence of a stubborn Torino side but to no avail. It was not until the 81st minute that Victor Osimhen leaped into the air higher than the Torino defenders and headed in the winning goal. The game ended Napoli 1 - 0 Torino.

Finally the match between Marseille and Lorient in the French Ligue 1 was an exciting one. As Marseille came back from a goal down to win their match 4 - 1. Goals from B.Kamara, a brace from the Arsenal loanee Matteo Guendouzi and a goal from A.Milik completed their comeback.

Below is how the league tables of these five major leagues looks like currently.
