Over the years, I have learned that no matter what you prepare, if it's made at home then surely there is a special feeling to it. Just adding the name homemade on any food makes it unique... it sort of brings a sense of gratitude.
The first time i attempted on making biscuits was on eid time, they became a hit and eversince i have been making them on eids and any other special occasion.
The recipe is simple and and does not require so much time or effort on the preparation.
Ingredients:
(Use a big cup)
1 cup icing sugar
1 cup sugar
2 1/5 cups of butter (500g)
3 eggs
4 - 5 cups flour
1 tspn baking powder
7 tspn custard
1 tspn vanilla
For topping:
Strawberry jam
Nuts
Instructions:
Mix sugar and blueband, then add in the icing sugar and mix well. Add the eggs and mix well then add in vanilla, followed by baking powder. Add the custard and the flour and mix well using hands, don't make the dough too soft or too hard. It should be medium.
grease ur baking tray. Roll the dough and cut with a biscuit cutter, on some of the biscuits i kept jam in the middle and some of them i kept nuts, u can garnish them with whatever that your heart desires or even leave them plain and dip them in some chocolate after baking. Bake for 20-25 mins until golden.
Store them in an airtight container and they will last over a month, enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee ❤
