Note that this celebration is very exciting and expected by children for the simple fact of being able to dress up and taste the rich sweets and desserts that are shared between family and friends. If you want to surprise the little ones in the house, do not stop following this recipe:
Ingredients: (For 15 diners).
-For the mass:
• 5 cups of wheat flour.
• 1 cup of sugar.
• 1 cup of butter
• 2 eggs.
• 1 spoon of vanilla.
-For decoration:
• Orange fondant.
• Black fondant.
Preparation process:
Step 1:
The first thing that must be done is to prepare the dough, for this, all its ingredients are mixed until obtaining a firm consistency that can be mixed with the hands. Then it is stretched with the help of a rolling pin, and cut with a round mold. Later they are taken to the oven previously preheated to 180 degrees for approximately 12 minutes. If you want to make the procedure much easier you can buy Maria cookies and we will skip this step.
Step 2:
You start to stretch the fondant with the help of a roller.
Step 3:
Cut the orange fondant with the same mold that you used in the preparation of the cookies, or if you can not place the cookie Mary on the fondant and cut with a knife the same size of the cookie.
Step 4:
Place the orange circle on the biscuit and to stick it with a little water wet the face of the cookie and try to stick it with the help of your fingers.
Step 5:
With the help of a knife, the stripes of the pumpkin are made, trying to make curved lines that start from the edge of the biscuit.
Step 6:
Now the black fondant is stretched, and the shape of the eyes is chopped with a knife, which in your case would be triangles and the mouth can make it in the terrifying way that they like the most.
Step 7:
To apply the mouth and eyes, apply the same procedure of wetting with a little water but in this case very carefully so that the orange fondant does not fade and stain.
Step 8:
To give a better presentation you can also place green fondant underneath to simulate the leaves of the plant. And ready to share and enjoy.
In this post I present only an idea to decorate your cookies in the shape of a pumpkin, but you can also make your imagination fly by making other dark figures, the most important thing is that you entertain yourself with your loved ones preparing and sharing sweets in this celebration. I hope you have fun. Greetings.
