Hey @tammywatkins. Always wear gloves when diving mostly not to get dirty! In Sweden we don't have that problem and I actually don't think the risk is very high in many place in the world. There are some stories circulating that I tihnk is made to scare people off from doing it as they want it to happen in the dark and because of the extent it's being done. But always be careful of course. Diving is not for everyone and there are many ways one could help in changing this. Vote with your money! :)
