I LOVE COOKING GOOD FOOD THE FILIPINO WAY

in #food7 years ago (edited)

HERE ARE SOME OF THE GOOD FILIPINO RECIPES THAT I COOKED MYSELF THAT I WANT TO SHARE TO YOU.

In the Philippine Culture cooking, knowing how to cook is essential to each and every family. This is because of the religious customary of christian, specifically the Catholic church. Wherein every year they would always pay tribute and celebrate a fest celebrated for 2 days for a certain Saint of a town or village. This celebration is dedicated to the Saint in remembrance and thanksgiving. People are accustomed to such devotion wherein once every year they would have to prepare foods for the visitors whom they would invite it maybe friends, relatives, distant relatives the people of the higher echelons, politicians in the society to come to their houses to eat for free. That is why all the people living in the village or town would prepare for this occasion. So each houses would have to plan ahead of the time where they would raise a pig a goat a cow or a buffalo to be slaughtered just for the celebration. Imagine this will only be cooked and prepared for a quite a number of visitors. Everyone is free to eat even the uninvited as long as they will go inside the house they are all welcome to eat. This selfless act of giving is done to thank God for the blessings that they have received each year.
