Here we go, I've made up a wish list of some of the things I would really love to have in my kitchen. If I can get our food budget down enough, I will start putting that extra money towards getting these items.
The List
1. Weck Jars
I feel like this is an item that will never leave my list. I can never have too many of these!
2. A Dehydrator
I've got my eye on this one. I'd love to make banana chips and so much more in it.
3. A Fermentation Crock
This one would look really good in my kitchen and make fermenting easier, okay maybe not, but it would make it more pretty.
4. A Grain Mill
I'm going electric here. I wouldn't mind having a hand crank spare one, but for everyday use, I'd prefer an electric one, like this gem.
5. A Homescale Cheesery
As I'm lactose intolerant, one of the things I miss the most is cheese. I know there's not supposed to be lactose left in a bunch of cheeses but every time I try them I get sick. I love making soft, farmer-style cheeses and would love to make different kinds with a home cheesery like this.
6. More Castiron
You can never have too much. That's all I have to say. Oh, and I really want to replace my old gunky electric waffle maker with a castiron one.
7. A Real Brass Pot.
We got a brass coated one before we knew any better. Now, I would love anything from Mauviel. But, oh, so, expensive.
I'll stop here, for now...
Let me know what's on your kitchen wishlist and which of the items on mine you think I should save up for first.
For me since I have not done fermentation I would pick that one. I have eaten fermented food before and enjoyed it!
Hehe, we do a bit of fermentation. You should try it! It's great at times ;)
