Part 1
The loud crackling of Walker's radio awoke him from his nap. The man swung his legs off his desk, grabbing the radio and clicking the worn, loose button on the side. "Walker here. Please repeat, over." He spoke into the walkie-talkie.
"Ah, Walker, you're there. Motion sensor tracked movement on the West side. Need ya' to go check it out, over." A slightly older voice came from the device in Walker's hand and he sighed.
"Me? But west side is Charlie's side. Get him to check." Walker grumbled, already leaning back in his chair and going to put his feet up again.
"Can't. Lazy bastard ain't answering his radio again." The voice replied. This made Walker pinch his nose, a sigh passing his lips.
"For fuck's sake, Mac. Lazy shit's probably asleep again." Walker was already getting up, putting on his hat to cover up slightly balding head.
He walked out of his booth, listening to Mac talk into the radio while he wandered towards across the clearing that led from his guard post, all the way to the main complex of the junkyard.
"Probably just some kids trying to steal shit to pawn off. You know the drill, yell some shit, reach for you gun, whatever gets the shits outta here. Just don't grab any, or you're filling the paperwork." Mac rambled on. Walker listened before laughing slightly.
"Got it. I'll be sure to drop by Charlie's booth on the way back, give the bastard a good scare. Over and out." Walker then hooked his walkie talkie to his belt, right beside his loaded Colt M1911. Then, he let his hands fall to his side as he approached the side of the main building. He would walk around it, staying close to the wall as he walked. When he said Charlie was closer, he really meant it. Walker was stationed at the East booth, Charlie; the west, but since the lazy bastard wasn't responding, Walker had to walk all the way around the facility to investigate whatever had set off the motion sensors. His bets were that it was a bird or a stray cat, or at most a few rebellious teenagers being dared to visit the 'spooky construction yards.'
