Satan has no other job but to make you doubt whatever can be doubted , sometimes he even attempts to make us doubt our sonship. But to them that believe,he giveth power to become sons of God , we’re children of the most high God because of our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior , the spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we’re children of God .
Have you ever felt the touch of His comforting hand in times of trial ? Have you ever felt the boldness of His presence when fear is at the door? That is the spirit of God bearing witness with your spirit that you’re a child of God .
Have you ever felt a steering in your spirit to pray ? Sometimes a tap on your shoulder waking you up , have you ever had flashes of prayer burdens in your heart ? That is the witness of the spirit. On the other hand , have there not been occasions where you feel His reproof when you do something wrong ? a kind of inner fog as he dims His light to warn of sin ? What about seasons when you suddenly feel like doing something good to a brother as the Holy Ghost calls you to works of love . I have had occasions while traveling in public vehicles when He would prompt me to open my mouth and witness as a mouth piece of the gospel of grace , that again is the spirit of God bearing witness with our spirit that we’re sons of God .
He does not always speak or we do not always hear His voice but He is in us and that is why sometimes we feel those waves of joy that we can’t explain, the bursting forth of tongues that others can’t understand, He is there witnessing to your sonship , asking you to believe with certitude that you’re a heir of the kingdom. So as you go about your duty today , let there be a fire of joy in your heart and a spring under your step , let your face radiate joy. If those who don’t know ask you why you’re radiating ,tell them “I am a joint heir with Jesus”.
