Since the media is out of control with FUD, and apparently none of its reporters can actually do math, I thought it would be worthwhile just listing a few simple numbers. Sure, the cryptoverse has had a lot of bad hype the last couple of weeks, probably just about as bad as it could get actually. But considering how bad it actually is, how bad are portfolios looking?
Let's just presume you bought 3 months ago, which would be considered a really short time on any other investment. So, taking into account the "carnage" since the Christmas 2017 peak, how are those three month averages looking:
As of Saturday February 3rd.
(I've included some coins getting really bad FUD, just to make a point.)
Bitcoin: 3 months. Up 32%
Ethereum 3 months Up 243%
Litecoin 3 months Up 168%
Cardano 3 months Up 2063% (No, that's not a typo!)
Tron 3 months Up 1993%
Eidoo 3 months Up 32%
Neo 3 months UP 422%
VenChain 3 months Up 3208% (No, that's not a typo either!)
The list is pretty long, but you get the point.
Sure, it's been a bad month, but I'm still not seeing the disaster here. I'm seeing the best investment opportunity since... Um. Oh, er, since forever!
