There are always situations in the life of the human being that afflict him or make him happy. And many of them are presented by decisions and attitudes that are taken in certain situations. Likewise, diseases that each person suffers during their life are presented. But before this God gives us an effective method to face all this that occurs in our lives and is the PRAYER, before the adversities of life or in the midst of the joys the Prayer is effective. That is why I have titled today's message, "THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PRAYER". The Word of God reveals to us this method that you should use in your daily life, we are reading James 5: 13-18.
The effectiveness of the prayer is demonstrated in:
I. AFFLICTIONS. "Is anyone in you afflicted? Pray. "
In life we all have afflictions, problems. They are presented many times because of bad decisions or circumstances of life. These situations can cause depression, pessimism and even death. Here the word of God (Bible) tells us that in the midst of afflictions we should pray: cry out, plead with God. Prayer is the medicine for all evils, because with it, the soul is revived and the requested help is obtained.
She (the prayer) appealed to the Lord Jesus Christ in the moments of greatest sadness and anguish.
Indeed, a person who suffers has around depression and sadness, with its fatal consequences. Prayer puts you in communication with our Heavenly Father, in whom is found the source of all goods and, therefore, of all remedies.
It is possible that today you are afflicted by some evil, go in prayer to our Father, you will receive from Him the opportune help you need. Loneliness, depression do not help you, but if you go to God you will receive what you need.
In the daily walk through life, problems and situations that afflict your being are frequently presented, but you have the answer, go to God and you will receive the help you need.
By begging God to come to your aid and give you direction in the midst of any problem; You are taking the best decision and you will surely receive the necessary help from Him. Before going to your friend, go to our Heavenly Father.
However difficult the situation may be, you will receive from Him the opportune help and you will be able to support this situation.
THE EFFECTIVITY OF PRAYER, is demonstrated in moments:
II.- HAPPY PEOPLE: "Is anyone happy? Sing praises. "
Do not forget about God in moments of joy and well-being. In times of rejoicing, you must raise your heart to Him in praise. He wants to be a participant in all the changing aspects of your life.
We are very given to forgetting about God in moments where everything is going well, where we are successful. But that is where you must raise your heart in gratitude to God, for allowing you to enjoy those blessings.
Involving God and making him a participant in the situations you go through must be one of the main goals in your life; He wishes you not to leave him out in your successes and victory. It is there where you show that you really take it into account.
If you feel happy and know some songs of praise to God, sing to Him, no matter how beautiful or ugly you are. He receives it with a pleasant smell, if you do it from the heart and with sincerity.
THE EFFECTIVITY OF PRAYER, is demonstrated in moments:
III.- OF DISEASE: "Is anyone sick among you? Call the elders of the church, and pray for him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
The disease in your life brings you suffering, pain and even bitterness and depression. The Bible implies that many times sickness comes from the sin that is in your life. That is why this passage says that you should call the elders of the church, not the doctor, and pray by anointing him with oil. Here we see again, prayer as the means to bring healing.
In ancient times the therapeutic virtue of oil was known, especially in warm countries, where it helps to degrease and regulate perspiration, and also to cleanse and soften the skin.
The anointing of the oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit on the sick. Here James attributes the physical and spiritual recovery of the patient, not to the oil, if not to the faith of or that they pray about the sick person.
It is observed that this type of illness is for some committed sin not confessed: "and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven". The confession supposes the conviction of sin, especially when the illness is a discipline that the Lord applies to the spiritual health of the subject. Health will always depend on the will of God. It is our turn to pray with faith and wait on the Lord.
When you commit some sin against another person (gossip, disfama), you must call that person, ask for forgiveness and of course first ask for forgiveness from God. That is why it says: "confess your offenses to one another and pray for one another", and we must also pray for one another. Instead of holding a grudge and leaving piles of resentment, you should keep in communion with others through confession and prayer.
God brings spiritual healing and physical healing when you confess your sins to Him. We see here that James links confession, prayer and healing. It is a clear indication of the vital relationship between the physical and the spiritual.
If you have sins without confessing them to God, they hinder your relationship with God, your prayers are not heard. This is a limitation for God to work great things in your life. Ask God to reveal any sin you are practicing or have committed and not confessed, and then ask God for forgiveness. If you have hurt other people, come to them and ask for forgiveness, God wants to restore your life.
You must pray before any situation in life because:
IV.- IT HAS SUPERNATURAL POWER:
It is there where the Bible gives us the example of Elijah, being he as one of you, prayed to the Lord and it did not rain for long, the people repented and prayed again and it rained on earth, this incident is recorded in 1 Kings 17: 1-19.
Prayer has power over natural, often does not unleash that power for your sins, so the importance of confessing your sins to God.
Do not lose this great tool that God left us, prayer, a great blessing. Prayer moves the hand of God, if you do it with faith and according to his will.
Pray to the Lord in affliction, joy and illness. Confess your sins, if you have committed them. The Lord will work in your life.
LA ORACIÓN ES EFECTIVA
Siempre hay situaciones en la vida del ser humano que lo afligen o lo alegran. Y muchas de ellas se presentan por decisiones y actitudes que se toman frente a determinadas situaciones. Así mismo, se presentan enfermedades que cada persona padece durante su vida. Pero ante esto Dios nos da un método efectivo para enfrentar todo esto que se presenta en nuestras vidas y es la ORACIÓN, ante las adversidades de la vida o en medio de las alegrías la Oración es efectiva. Por eso he titulado el mensaje de hoy, “LA EFECTIVIDAD DE LA ORACIÓN”. La Palabra de Dios nos revela este método que usted debe usar en tu diario vivir, estemos leyendo Santiago 5: 13-18.
La efectividad de la oración es demostrada en las:
I. AFLICCIONES. “¿Está alguno en vosotros afligido? Haga oración”.
En la vida todos tenemos aflicciones, problemas. Se presentan muchas veces por las malas decisiones o por circunstancias de la vida. Estas situaciones pueden causar depresión, pesimismo y hasta la muerte. Aquí la palabra de Dios (Biblia) nos indica que en medio de las aflicciones debemos orar: clamar, suplicar a Dios. La oración es la medicina para todos los males, pues con ella se consigue reanimar el alma y se obtiene el auxilio pedido.
A ella (la oración) recurrió en Señor Jesucristo en los momentos de mayor tristeza y angustia.
Efectivamente, a una persona que sufre le ronda la depresión y la tristeza, con sus fatales consecuencias. La oración le pone en comunicación con nuestro Padre Celestial, en quien se halla la fuente de todos los bienes y, por tanto, de todos los remedios.
Es posible que hoy te encuentres afligido por algún mal, acude en oración a nuestro Padre, recibirás de Él el oportuno socorro que necesites. La soledad, la depresión no te ayudan, pero si acudes a Dios recibirás lo que necesitas.
En el andar diario por la vida, se presentan con frecuencias problemas y situaciones que afligen tu ser, pero tienes la repuesta, acude a Dios y recibirás la ayuda que necesites.
Al suplicar a Dios que venga a tu socorro y te de dirección en medio de cualquier problema; estás tomando la mejor decisión y de seguro recibirás de Él la ayuda necesaria. Antes de acudir a tu amigo o amiga acude a nuestro Padre Celestial.
Por difícil que sea la situación recibirás de Él el oportuno socorro y podrás soportar dicha situación.
LA EFECIVIDAD DE LA ORACIÓN, se demuestra en momentos:
II.- ALEGRES: “¿Está alguno alegre? Cante alabanzas”.
No te olvides de Dios en momentos de alegría y bienestar. En tiempos de regocijo, debes elevar tu corazón a Él en alabanza. Él quiere ser partícipe en todos los aspectos cambiantes de tu vida.
Somos muy dados a olvidarnos de Dios en momentos donde todo va bien, donde tenemos éxito. Pero es allí donde debes elevar tu corazón en gratitud a Dios, por permitir que disfrutes de esas bendiciones.
Involucrar a Dios y hacerlo partícipe de las situaciones por la que pases, debe ser una de las metas principales en tu vida; Él desea que tú no lo dejes por fuera en tus éxitos y victoria. Es allí donde demuestras que realmente lo tomas en cuenta.
Si te sientes alegre y sabes algunas canciones de alabanza a Dios, cántele a Él, no importa cuán hermosa o fea sea tu vos. Él lo recibe con olor grato, si lo haces de corazón y con sinceridad.
LA EFECIVIDAD DE LA ORACIÓN, se demuestra en momentos:
III.- DE ENFERMEDAD: “¿Está alguno enfermo entre vosotros? Llame a los ancianos de la iglesia, y oren por él, ungiéndole con aceite en el nombre del Señor.
La enfermedad en tu vida te trae sufrimiento, dolor y hasta amargura y depresión. La Biblia da a entender que muchas veces la enfermedad viene por el pecado que está en tu vida. Es por eso que este pasaje dice que hay que llamar a los ancianos de la iglesia, no al médico, y oren ungiéndole con aceite. Aquí vemos nuevamente, la oración como el medio para traer sanidad.
En la antigüedad era conocida la virtud terapéutica del aceite, sobre todo en los países cálidos, en donde ayuda a desengrasar y a regularizar la transpiración, y también a limpiar y suavizar la piel.
La unción del aceite es símbolo del Espíritu Santo sobre el enfermo. Aquí Santiago atribuye la recuperación física y espiritual del enfermo, no al aceite, si no a la fe de o que oran sobre el enfermo.
Se observa que este tipo de enfermedad es por algún pecado cometido no confesado: “y si ha cometido pecados, le será perdonados”. La confesión supone la convicción de pecado, especialmente cuando la enfermedad es una disciplina que el Señor aplica para la salud espiritual del sujeto. La sanidad siempre va a depender de la voluntad de Dios. Nos toca orar con fe y esperar en el Señor.
Cuando cometes algún pecado contra otra persona (chismes, disfama), debes llamar a esa persona, pedirle perdón y por supuesto primeramente pedir perdón a Dios. Es por eso que dice: “confesaos vuestras ofensas unos a otros y oren unos por otros”, y también debemos orar unos por otros. En vez de guardar rencor y dejar amontonar resentimientos, deberías mantenerte en comunión con otros mediante la confesión y la oración.
Dios trae sanidad espiritual y sanidad física cuando confiesas tus pecados a Él. Vemos aquí que Santiago vincula la confesión, la oración y la sanidad. Es clara indicación de la vital relación entre lo físico y lo espiritual.
Si tienes pecados sin confesarlos a Dios, estorban tu relación con Dios, tus oraciones no son escuchadas. Esta es una limitante para que Dios obre grandes cosas en tu vida. Pide a Dios que revele cualquier pecado que estés practicando o que hallas cometido y no esta confesado, y luego pídele perdón a Dios. Si le has hecho daño a otras personas acércate a ellas y pídele perdón, Dios desea restaurar tu vida.
Debes orar ante cualquier situación de la vida porque:
IV.- TIENE PODER SOBRENATURAL:
Es allí donde la Biblia nos da el ejemplo de Elías, siendo él como uno de ustedes, oró al Señor y no llovió por mucho tiempo, el pueblo se arrepintió y volvió a orar y llovió sobre la tierra, este incidente está registrado en 1 Reyes 17: 1-19.
La oración tiene poder sobre natural, muchas veces no se desencadena ese poder por tus pecados, por eso la importancia de confesar tus pecados a Dios.
No pierdas esta gran herramienta que nos dejó Dios, la oración, una gran bendición. La oración mueve la mano de Dios, si lo haces con fe y de acuerdo a su voluntad.
Ore al Señor en la aflicción, alegría y en la enfermedad. Confiese sus pecados, si los has cometido. El Señor obrará en tu vida.
