Heya @funcrypto, interesting take. I'd say tx speed matters less than security when it comes to smart blockchain platforms like EOS. Whether or not EOS will "bank the unbanked" will depend on what applications are built on top of it and if those applications gain traction. One big hurdle is the cost of development on EOS which, because of speculation and skyrocketing price of CPU, completely bars let's say, a grass-root dev team in a third world country to build on EOS (at least in its current state).
