This is a street i grew up, one of the eight streets in federal housing estate abak road in uyo city, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria.
Some months ago the( NNDC) known as the Niger Delta Development commision. A federal government agency established by Ex Nigerian president olusegun obasanjo in the year 2000, with the sole mandate in developing the oil rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Which consist of these nine states. Abia state, Akwa Ibom state, Bayelsa state, Cross River state, Delta state, Edo state, Imo state, Ondo state and Rivers state. This agency started work few months ago on the roads located inside federal housing estate abak road uyo, Akwa ibom state. And after work was being done and finished, i noticed they've only worked on seven streets out of eight. And one was left undone. So we occupant of the streets decided to make an enquiry and ask questions, like why is our own street been left behind. And could you believe the response we had?..They told us that our own street was left behind because of one man, the man happen's to be the father of the past Akwa ibom state house of assembly speaker. Now the Member representing Etinan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly. ''REASON'' because the man happen's to belong to the (PDP) people's democratic party while the ruling party is the (APC) The All Progressives Congress. They told us that thy can't repair a road that a PDP member is living, that if he wishes so. He should call on PDP to take care of that.

Now i'm wondering, is the government supposed to be fighting each other because of political party differences? or are they supposed to have the masses first at heart?. Everyday we preach about how we should be united and make a great country. But how can this be possible if little things like this matters and it's still a problem. I'm making this post so blunt and clear because i'm not happy and i'm being deprived of my rights as a citizen. All i can say is please lets make the world a better place, let's see life beyond tribalism, racism, and political differences. They only tried to hurt one person, but now they end up hurting many.

Below are pictures of the streets worked on..

How bad is partisanship and corruption in Nigeria? The worst it gets over here is people saying others deserve misfortune if they are a different political affiliation.
