Yes, it's that close. Each day I try to stay on top of the news about the election and follow many of the disparate polls covering the two major candidates. Just for the record, I don't trust any of the polls, as they're often wrong, but we only realize that after the election.
And you can't trust the media either, with editorializing weaved in amongst what is supposed to be objective news reporting... No more "fair and balanced" now they don't even try to hide who they're rooting for, the slant being that obvious. I don't need your take reporter-man, just give me the fucking news and keep your personal opinion out of it, and I'll do the rest.
With most news sources you know which candidate they support just based on the outlet itself. Yahoo and the NYPost are on one side, MSNBC and the NYTimes backing the other. You don't even need to click on the articles anymore, as you know how its going to be slanted. Even the Drudge Report now is completely unrecognizable from what it used to be.
"Debunked" and "baseless" are words I often see hurled against one of them. One has fawning articles generated about them on a daily basis, as if they can turn water into wine, while the other is painted as if descended from the demon seed of Satan himself with nary a positive story in sight.
Whoever you vote for on November 5th, I have three suggestions:
- Vote Early (but not often!, this isn't Chicago). Whether by mail or early in the morning on election day to avoid long lines (and attempts at slowing the lines down to suppress the vote in certain areas).
- Don't trust polls, they're rarely right, and can be shaped to either bring one candidates voters out, or convince another's to stay home.
- The news media IS biased, so do your own research and make up your own mind. Don't let positive or negative articles shape how you vote.
I know who I think will win on election day, but we'll just have to wait and see. We'll either get a shock like we did in 2016, or more of the same. It's all up to you.

It’s good that the media is more so openly biased. It means more people will go to X, rumble or hopefully Hive to be able to find information that is suppressed elsewhere
It's crazy that I have to go to places like odysee to get 'the otherside' of the news. It's also odd to see one candidate "winning" with the media having a thumb on the scale backing them up as opposed to winning by putting forth the best ideas. They're doing everything possible to favor one candidate, and if the polls are to be believed, it's still close after all that effort. Nov 5th is going to be interesting.
