I have a piece of advise to share. Whoever reads this, remember that I am still a newbie who has not yet reached 100 followers but I still have something unique to share because my situation when I joined Steemit a few weeks back was different from most. I broke my right elbow (working arm) right around the time I got my registration approved.
As a result, I had to postpone all my plans for Steemit. I could not create detailed posts with just my left arm, so I started commenting and participating in discussions and almost all my followers have been obtained that way along with all my earnings meagre though they are.
You have to remember, that whatever I have achieved till now is with a very inconvenient handicap. So if you are new here, start commenting even if you are not able to start posting much right away. Commenting helps you connect with fellow Steemians and gets you going.

Mark, I’m so sorry to hear about your arm! I can appreciate your positive attitude through it all, and learning to take a different approach. Thanks for providing some great advice to new users here. Getting to know others and commenting on their posts is such a great approach.
