Most people spend their time trying to get the knowledge that they do not want to get, in order to subsequently work at work on which they do not want to work - this is a vicious circle. Every morning in my city, you can see many dissatisfied people who live from the weekend to the weekend.
Yes, you're right, it's best to do what your heart tells you - otherwise you risk living an unhappy life. And life is so short that it would waste it on those things that do not bring pleasure.
Have good advice

All of us have been around people who told us our dreams weren’t possible. Let that add fuel to your fire. Think about all the people who said it would never happen, and go out and prove them wrong.
Sometimes parents don’t always understand our dreams or they try to sway us towards a particular one. However, if you are adamant about your dreams, and you work hard to achieve them, your parents have no reason not to be proud of you.
Even better than making your parents proud, you will be proud of yourself! Your confidence will rise, and you’ll enjoy the excitement and the adrenaline that comes with doing something you’ve always wanted to do.
Life is short. Our days are numbered, so why spend them doing something we don’t love? It’s time to make a decision to go for it.
It is a vicious cycle that has no regard for human life. We become enslaved to that which we don't love and that is pure misery. But there is hope. We can change that. If only people looked on the inside and became more self aware.
in my opinion - this transition is unrealistic for most people. The fact is that the system in which we live - it is vital to have people who are the "cogs" of the general mechanism. That is, the middle class or service personnel is extremely necessary and people will not be able to change their lives at one moment - they just narrowly think.
Why do they narrowly think? - The answer is simple - the fact is that from the very childhood people are taught the usual system (at school - teachers, at home - parents and loved ones) that you need to study - to find a job and work. It hangs into our head like an axiom. Therefore, millions of people follow the same road.
Why strive for the most intelligent? - Become financially independent. After all, financial independence can give you true freedom. But this is my opinion.
@frankl1n Exactly. I agree. The system is designed specifically to exploit and demote some and uplift a few at the expense of others.
Financial freedom requires shedding much of the BS fed to us by the schools, and unfortunately our parents. My parents said I would be "happy" and "Successful" by getting a job. Any job really. But I found that unless I'm using my talents then I feel like a wasted human being.
